    Sony USM64CA1/S reviews

    64GB USB 3.0 Type-C/USB Type-A Dual-Connection Flash Drive is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOG SLOW in USB-C Port Product works as advertised in that it functions in older USB 3.0 ports and in the new USB-C ports. However, I tried running a Windows virtual machine off of it (which worked great with an SD card in my old MacBook Pro) using the USB-C port on my new MacBook Pro, and it was so slow that it was unusable. I then tried copying some files to the drive using the USB-C port on my new MacBook Pro, and it would get stuck periodically and I had to wait a long time for the file transfer to complete. So, this drive is okay if you just want to move some files between an old MacBook Pro with USB 3.0 and a new MacBook Pro with USB-C, but terrible if you want it to do anything fast (which is why I purchased it - hence my one star).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have The new standard for mobile and or any Type-c device that also needs USB at the same time. I carry this around me all the time and when people see me plug it in into my Lumia 950, the wow'd effects shows. The only con is the rubber holder which is cool but you can easily loose your flash drive if not careful, it can pop right out if not careful. The best thing about it, it's also compliant with Thunderbolt 3, yes thunderbolt 3 and any device with a std. USB port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small- easy to carry, well made Data management tool! I use this USB 3, dual connection flash drive to transfer large files back and forth between my ZenPad 3s 10 and my desk top or laptop computers. I find that transferring Gb's of data via cloud based storage providers both slug slow and cumbersome! It just takes forever. The price charged for this gem is very attractive and hard to pass up. I added a lanyard to mine and makes it handy to use. I have no issues using it on Android 6x. Keep in mind that Android has specific rules on using any external SD cards and USB flash drives. The bottom line concerning these rules is once you learn them, using external or flash drives is unlimited. Nearly all new devices offered today, and eventually Apple products are adopting the type c format.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good USB-C/USB-A hybrid Flash disk, But... This is a very good flash disk, but with some concerns. Pros: 1. It's USB-C + USB-A ports, very flexible for both Mobile and New Macbook as well as traditional computers. 2. Write speed is around 44MB/s, Read speed is around 145MB/s about the standard speed class in competition. 3. SMI controller + Samsung TLC nand have good reputation and compatibility. Cons: 1. It's using TLC nand, considering it's price, size and 64G storage, it's not out of surprise. 2. Write speed is very limited, just around 44MB/s is barely better than legacy USB 2.0 flash disk, Read speed is good though. 3. 2 years warranty is very limited compare to Sandisk or Samsung 4. No protection from water, drop, x-ray like Samsung/Sandisk. 5. Kinda more expensive than other USB-A Flash disk 6. Choice is very limited, capacity only up to 64G 7. Heat builds up quickly, there even a warning paper inside it's package about possible overheat. Bottom line: A good purchase if you have USB-C device like Nexus 6 or Macbook Retina 12'.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent drive! It doesn't get much more perfect than this when it comes to flash drives. I use this to connect to my Nexus 6P and back up / transfer files. The drive is fast and compact. The included silicone carrying case makes it easy to keep track of, and keep clean and protected. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Flash Drive for USB-C laptops This is the drive to have for any usb-c device, it is quite small and convenient and although it heats up a bit it works quite well. I have tried several others including sandisks USB-c drives and although they do offer better performance, the form factor of this drive is unrivaled. You can fit 2 of them on one side of the 2016 MacBooks and it comes with a handy rubber case so it is not as easily lost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Nexus 5X experience. Used this with my Nexus 5X. Thought 32GB would be enough, but needed to free up space to take new pictures and videos. Downloaded a qr code reader to read the qr code on the package. Took me to the app store where I downloaded the Sony app. Shortly thereafter I was transferring videos to the flash drive.
