The RG Iron Label Series RGIX27FESM 7-string electric guitar from Ibanez is the ultimate metal guitar made with a basswood body with a spalted maple top in a foggy stained black finish and a Nitro Wizard-7 3-piece bolt-on maple/bubinga neck with a 24-fret bound ebony fingerboard. The solid double-cutaway body delivers maximum resonance and sustain, while the Nitro Wizard neck is thin, flat and fast, yet strong, and provides unlimited playability, even for the most demanding players.

The EMG 707 neck and bridge humbucking pickups beef up the tone of the low strings while maintaining a balanced and articulate upper register. A 3-way pickup selector switch allows you to choose between a variety of humbucker settings, while the kill switch provides easy access to a manually controlled strobe effect. Additionally, the RGIX27FESM offers single volume and tone controls and is fitted with cosmo black hardware, including a fixed Gibraltar Standard II-7 bridge, as well as a set of standard die-cast tuners on the headstock.

This instrument is highly respected for its tone, features, and ability to hold its tuning, making it an ideal choice for players of all levels.

EMG Pickups
  • Specifically designed for 7-string guitars, EMG 707 active humbucking pickups beef up the low end while maintaining a balanced and articulate upper register

  • The Gibraltar Standard II-7 is a simple fixed bridge that was designed to unify with the guitar's body and provide optimal transfer of each string's vibration. Smooth surface is designed to maximize playing comfort
