MEE audio P1 overview

  • 1Description

The flagship Pinnacle P1 High-Fidelity Audiophile In-Ear Headphones from MEE audio utilizes an advanced moving coil transducer and acoustic diffuser tuned to recreate music tracks with maximum clarity and resolution. The P1 offers a balanced 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and superb spacial handling with a sound that's rich and musical, yet remains accurate to the source. The bass is impactful, but never overwhelms the rest of the audio spectrum. The acoustic diffuser creates a balanced treble extension with a smooth-in-the-ear response.

Each earpiece is constructed from zinc-alloy, which provides the strength of steel and lightweight properties of aluminum. The P1 utilizes universal micro-coaxial (MMCX) connectors that attach to user replaceable cables. The cables can be connected in two ways with the conventional setting that hangs, while the over-the-ear musician style keeps the cables out of the way and reduces cable noise. The P1 ships with a high-fidelity silver-plated OFC audio cable, a headset cable with mic and remote, three-pairs of Comply T-200 memory foam ear tips, six pairs of silicone eartips, a shirt clip, and a carrying case.

High Fidelity Sound
  • Top-tier audio performance was the primary goal of Pinnacle development from day one. To achieve our target frequency response, clarity, and resolution, the P1 utilizes an advanced high-impedance moving coil transducer and patented acoustic diffuser
Tuning Philosophy
  • The Pinnacle P1 was engineered to deliver engaging, dynamic audio with great clarity and crisp detailing. The tuning target was developed by combining our past in-ear earphone experience with feedback from fans and critics to create a sound that is rich and musical, yet remains accurate to the source and makes audible the finest nuances in your music. The bass is impactful but never overwhelms the rest of the audio spectrum, so you won’t have to strain to hear the details. Add the natural soundstage and excellent handling of spatial cues and the result is an unparalleled concert-in-your-head experience
  • The Pinnacle P1 utilizes a proprietary 10mm moving coil driver with 50 Ohm impedance to improve performance at the extremes of the frequency range. The dynamic driver delivers a full-bodied bass note and slightly warm tonal character while retaining high levels of resolution and refinement. A copper-clad aluminum voice coil is used reduce the driver’s moving mass, allowing for faster, more controlled driver movement and raising high frequency performance and resolution
Acoustic Diffuser
  • A proprietary sound chamber and damping scheme provide the best balance of treble extension and smooth-in-the-ear response. The P1’s patented acoustic diffuser takes advantage of the directional nature of treble (high frequency) sound waves, forcing select frequencies to resonate before reaching the ear to ensure coherency and smoothness. This effectively improves the detailing and high-frequency extension of the P1 without adding harshness, resulting in treble that is extended and energetic, but also smooth for a more realistic sound with improved detail resolution and handling of spatial cues
Built to Last
  • In addition to its timeless audio performance, the Pinnacle P1 is built to last. The earpieces are die-cast from a zinc alloy – a world’s first for in-ear earphones – and hand-polished to provide a look and feel worthy of a flagship. Zinc alloy is more rigid and has better impact resistance than aluminum, yet offers significant weight savings compared to stainless steel, resulting in a less bulky feel in the ear
  • For added longevity, the Pinnacle P1 utilizes detachable, user-replaceable cables with universal MMCX (micro-coaxial) connectors. Both of the included cables are braided for strength and tangle-resistance, and utilize heavy-duty L-shaped plugs
High Grade Audio Cable
  • Silver-plated 99.99% pure copper stereo audio cable ensures the richest detail retrieval and highest performance when using the Pinnacle P1 with high-end audio systems
Headset Cable with Mic and Remote
  • Headset cable incorporates a high-quality inline microphone and remote, allowing seamless control of phone calls and music playback with compatible phones and tablets
Superior Fit and Comfort
  • Designed for extended listening sessions, the Pinnacle P1 features an innovative ergonomic design that can be worn two different ways and fits all ears comfortably. The unique earpiece shape and off-angle nozzle are designed to be comfortable and secure when worn in the conventional manner while also providing the option for an over-the-ear musician fit with a quick swap of the left and right cable connectors. Routing the cables over-the-ear makes for a more secure and low-profile fit, keeps cables out of the way, and reduces cable noise (microphonics)
Sound-Isolating Design
  • The snug in-ear fit blocks outside noise, preventing interruptions and protecting your hearing by allowing lower-volume listening. Comply T-Series memory foam eartips are included to further increase noise isolation for a superior audio experience
Complete Kit
  • To ensure the best fit, comfort, and noise isolation for every listener, the Pinnacle P1 includes 6 pairs of silicone eartips and 3 pairs of Comply T-200 Premium Memory Foam eartips. A shirt clip and integrated cable cinch help keep the cord out of your way while a gold-plated 1/4" / 6.35mm stereo adapter is included for compatibility with a wider range of audio gear. The premium protective carrying case features an easy-to-use magnetic closure. Each Pinnacle case also features a unique laser-etched serial number

    MEE audio P1 reviews

Pinnacle P1 High Fidelity Audiophile In-Ear Headphones is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade from the M6 Pros Everything about these IEMs has been great so far. Some thoughts on them: The way they're packaged and presented when you open the box just feels super luxurious. The leather carrying case is nice, there are enough silicone tips to find a great fit, and 3 sizes of comply tips if you prefer those, and the high end cable is just amazing. Sound wise, when up against the M6 Pros, they really blow them out of the water. Highs are more articulate and less harsh, mids sound great, and the bass seems to have more of an impact than I felt the M6s have. Jazz and rock music sound a lot clearer on the P1s, and not as harsh. The body of the IEM feels very solid and has a nice weight to it, but that completely disappears once they're in your ears. Overall, I'm just really loving these :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid earphones but ... Source 1 - AK Jr + Pinnacle P1 Source 2 - iPod 80GB + RSA Predator + Pinnacle P1 Source 3 - iPhone 5s + DragonFly Red + Pinnacle P1 (for streaming music) Music Genres - Jazz, R&B, Bollywood, Rock The build quality on this earphone is excellent, so do the accessories that it comes bundled with. Consistent with the feedback provided by other reviewers (as well as on other audiophile sites), the treble is a bit mellow. Given the price-to-value ratio for me personally; this is a minor issue. I bought this earphone primarily to replace my UE Triple Fi Pro 10; that is at the end of its life. My purchase decision was purely based on my budget (rather than the sound signatures between these two). I use this mainly as my travel/ daily commute gear and not for any critical listening. Whilst the audio cable is great, it does pick up cable noise whilst walking on the streets - which is why I docked a star!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great headphones at a price They headphones looks fantastic. They metal enclosure feels more heavy than others, which is good, they have excellent fit. Sound quality is great, though I did not notice any major improvement over my Shure SE215s. These seem to be less bass-heavy, so more realistic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good buy! Extremely good build quality and the best thing I like is the memory foam ear buds that fits in the ear canal without irritatating (during long hours) and a bit of noise isolation. Sound quality is very good.! Only gripe is about lack of volume controls...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best earbud I have used! Great sound and comfort. An improvement over the HiFiMan RE400 which is still a good earbud in own right.
