Sennheiser HD 25 Reviews

Uncomfortable, fatiguing sound, biting midrange

Aggressive midrange tires you out after twenty minutes. I'm guessing this is a plus for DJs? As does the awful design which means they are awkward to get to sit right - and because they sit tight doesn't mean they sit right, they end up hurting and an endless attempt at trying to get them comfortable begins. The only thing going for these is that they are fairly indestructible compared to some of the competition. Sony MDR7506s, though not as solid, sound much smoother and are MUCH more comfortable. If you are in field sound you won't feel like the talent is scraping their nails down a blackboard when they speak too, plus they are cheaper.

Quality Sound!

Very lightweight in terms of material and the sound is great. My only problems are that it's not very ergonomic in terms of comfort, and the left and right headphones aren't labeled. Extremely minor issues overall. Still recommend getting them!

Because they are made with quality materials, the form and fit are right on, and they are comfortable.

I got these because they were on sale and had good reviews. I'm using them for listening back to video recordings with camcorder/dslr, and for reiewing voice recordings. They sound great. I have noticed that after a long time, they can get a little bit uncomfortable for my ears. I also had a hard time knowing which was right and left until I noticed that there were 2 different colors (red on the right). The case is nice and dos the job. Overall, very happy.

Great headphones... perfect for everyday use.. disappointed that all 75th anniversary HD25 headphones did not come with yellow ear pads...

It's all in the ears

They feel light and because of that it gives an apparent air of cheapness to it but they are quality headphones! I've been looking for a pair for awhile to better carry through audio that represents what I hear (especially for live mixing during streams) more accurately. This headphone may be plastic but it delivers and is quickly becoming my favorite headphone. Only downside is they can cover your ears hard enough to cause discomfort if you wear glasses. I found the valor padding they provide to work better (comfort wise) for those with glasses. Only a minor thing really as most of us with glasses often struggle with on/over ear headphones and comfort.

A great on-ear phone from Sennheiser

It was a sad day when one of the earpieces in my PX-100s went dead and I discovered that there was no practical fix for this discontinued model. I was happy to discover the HD 25, heavier but more rugged and reasonably comfortable, providing the accurate sound I was looking for. These do double-duty for me, both listing to music while I work and editing video and building soundtracks at home. They do exactly what I need. I think the HD 25s and I will have a great future together thanks, in part, to the fact that the cables on these are designed to be easily replaced.
