Pocket-sized and exceptionally accurate, the L-308DC-U DigiCineMate Light Meter from Sekonic is a compact tool for metering both ambient and flash lighting as well as working in video with dedicated Cine and HD Cine modes. Equipped with a sliding lumisphere, as well as a lumidisc attachment for flat surfaces, the L-308DC is able to measure ambient light as well as reflected light via a lens with a 40° reception angle. This meter also has a wide metering range, from 0 to 19.9 EV at ISO 100, and can work with flash light within a range of f/1.4 to f/90.9 at ISO 100. Video and film shooters can rejoice as well, with the inclusion of multiple frame rates from 8-128 fps and a variety of shutter angle options. Another exclusive feature of the DigiCineMate model is illuminance measurements in fc or lux for precise evaluations of the lighting.

Repeat accuracy is important with metering, and the L-308DC delivers with a rating of <0.1 EV on repeat exposures. It also has a LCD screen for easy viewing of settings and has both a PC sync terminal and a cordless flash option. Additionally, it runs on one AA battery.
