Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana, can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the Internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information-gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    Samsung NP900X5L-K02US reviews

    15" Notebook 9 (Silver) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch people drool over this This truly is an amazingly light but powerful notebook. Given that the weight is slightly less than a Macbook Air but with a 15 1080p screen, I have had so many people in my office - including Apple fanboys - doing a double take. I have upgraded from a previous Samsung Ativ 9 15.6 which I found a very reliable machine, and this is noticably lighter. The only disadvantage (which is not a problem for me) is that it does not have a backlit keyboard. I have read other reviews which say this this may be fixed, so who knows.... And there are relatively few accessories available for it even looking for a USB-C hub came up with relatively few options

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loving it I was looking for a replacement for my 2007 laptop, something that offered a good selection of the latest features and enough capacity to to last me for the next 5+ years. The Samsung Notebook 9 was all that, plus, it is EXTREMELY light-weight, which I appreciate, as I often have it rest on my lap. So far, I am very happy with my choice, EXCEPT, the lighted keyboard, which was one of the features I desired, has not worked from day one. I have been in touch with Samsung's online support a couple of times; apparently this is an known issue and they are working on a fix. (PS: Their online support chat is a great service feature). I am hoping it will be fixed soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Laptop Replaced an HP Elitebook. This is a much better machine; lighter, better screen, better touch pad, better key response, doesn't heat up in your lap, faster. Can you tell I really like this laptop! You get a 15 inch screen that fits in a 14 inch sleeve of your briefcase or backpack. Before the Elitebook I had a MacBookPro, I find this very similar, but lighter and cooler running, plus for less money I get a 15 inch screen. Also very happy with Windows 10. Searching the web I find Samsung has one of the better reliability ratings, along with Apple, so I am expecting a long term good experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is Awesome! I have to admit...I was updating from an old Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista. Therefore, anything would have been an upgrade. I'd been talking about getting a new laptop for the last 3 years and finally took the plunge. I have a small Dell laptop for work and thought I might get one for home use. However, in looking at reviews, it didn't fair so well. Then I stumbled on this Samsung. The SSD is awesome! The screen is clear and vivid. The battery lasts so long. The keyboard is comfortable to use. The touchpad is responsive but not so overly sensitive to drive you nutty. There's not a thing I've found that I don't like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended purchase I'm really satisfied with this computer. I upgraded from a Toshiba with a 13.3-inch screen for a number of reasons: I was doing more work from home and wanted a bigger screen; the battery didn't hold a charge at all; and I carried my computer around regularly and wanted something lighter. The screen on this is great, and the total size is actually noticeably smaller than a MacBook 15 screen due to the small bevels. The battery life is satisfactory -- I'm not sure how to compare it to other new computers, but it lasts me a day doing normal tasks. It also charges super fast (30 mins). My favorite: IT IS SO LIGHT AND THIN. This is partly aesthetically appealing, but also, I can slip it into (nearly) any bag and it will fit. I've had the computer two weeks and am hoping it continues to perform like it has. My annoyance: The touchpad seems poorly positioned, and the outside edges are not always responsive, so it can be frustrating to be tapping it out of the corner of your eye and have it not respond because you're not touching the center of the pad. It's also possible it's a defect on my computer only. Finding a case for this was a bit difficult -- it really was too small for MacBook 15 cases, so I ended up getting a case for a generic 14 computer. It fits the length and height well, but is still too fat for the width. It'll do, though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Buy it. I use this for heavy excel and complex photo editing in photoshop. After trying lenovo, hp and asus, this one felt the best in terms of keyboard, screen size, and weight. Overall, this is an amazing computer. Fast bootup. Nice trackpad. One negative - the bottom part of the laptop (keyboard part) feels solid but the screen part of the laptop is a bit bendy. Not a big deal if you put the laptop into a padded laptop section in your backpack. But something to be a bit careful of. I use a Mac for work so i wanted something with the same look & feel but with windows. This one seemed like the best option at this time. My next option was the Surface Book, which has a better feel/more solid buiild but I didn't like the curved fold design. It was bulkier and heavier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light and Fast I bought this laptop to travel around the world. So far this laptop get 5/5 stars from the material used to the quality. Battery life is ok. Samsung you've done it again. I love this laptop. the only thing i didn't like is the power plug. Not as durable as mac power plug, felt like its a little flimsy
