The GD93CE G Series Dreadnought Acoustic/Electric Guitar from Takamine is constructed with a solid spruce top, rosewood sides, and a 3-piece rosewood/quilt maple back, which delivers a rich, resonant sound with a strong low end and plenty of volume. Its slim mahogany neck includes a 21-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius, while the split-saddle design of the rosewood bridge improves intonation for sweeter-sounding chords and single-note runs. Additional features include maple binding on the body, neck, and headstock, a dark wood rosette and body purfling, a synthetic bone nut and split bridge saddle, a rosewood headcap, abalone dot inlays, gold die-cast tuners with black buttons, and an attractive gloss finish. For electronics, the guitar is equipped with a Takamine TK-4OD preamp system, which includes a built-in tuner, three-band EQ and gain controls, a mid contour switch, notch filter, and EQ bypass switch. This versatile system gives the player better control of the guitar's tone for live performance when using amplification.
Takamine’s distinctive split-saddle bridge provides accurate acoustic intonation through a specially compensated design that is quite literally split, giving the two unwound strings—the B and the high E—their own well-deserved “break” and enhancing overall intonation
