Complementing its ranging qualities, the Geovid sports Leica's proprietary anti-reflection lens coatings to boost light transmission and improve color and contrast. The combination of a powerful 10x magnification and a wide 63° viewing angle provide an immersive observational experience while being highly functional for mid to long-range use. Protecting the optics and electronics is a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassis that is nitrogen-filled for fogproof and waterproof performance in extreme conditions. It is wrapped in a protective armor that also provides a slip-resistant grip, especially in cold and wet weather.

question

What is the difference between the HD-B and the HD-R Edition 220 range finder Binoculars?.. What does the B and the R stand for?
Asked by: Anonymous
Think of the B representing ballistics programming and the R for ranging only. The HD-B measures more parameters, including temperature, air pressure, and bullet drop reference, and can provide additional data after calculating, which includes Hold and MOA related values as well as adjusted horizontal measurement. The HD-R only calculates the impact of angle of incline/decline on the line-of-sight measurement and displays an adjusted horizontal distance.

question

The picture you show does not match the product from Leica. HD-R-42 (Type 403) - Order #40054. The picture you show is for older model HD-R 42 - Order #40059. The range button for product #40054 should be on the right side and it should range down to 10 yards per Leica's technical data. Can you please clarify for me because I have been waiting for this new product's availability? Thanks.
Asked by: Blake P.
You are absolutely correct. This is a photo of the older model. My apologies for the confusion. This is the 40054 Model. I will alert the Web Team to update this photo. Again my apologies for this, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. The Product is in stock and ready to ship currently.

question

What is the minumum distance this product will range to?Also does it compensate for the angled distance vs straight line distance at less than 100 yards. The previous model did not. Thanks
Asked by: Anonymous
This model will provide line-of-sight distance readings from 10-2000 yards. When the EHr function is turned on, an angle of incline/decline compensated distance measurement can be displayed for a range of 10-600 yards, and will automatically appear after the LOS distance is displayed for a couple of seconds.

question

'What's in the Box' suggests the Leica HD-R Geovids take a Micro SD card. Don't think so. It's the HD-B models that use the cards to provide custom ballistics. Am I missing something? Rick.
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You are correct. This does not take a Micro SD Card. The only models that do are the Geovid HD-B Rangefinder Models.
