Kingston HX316C10FK2/16 overview

  • 1Description

The Kingston 16GB HyperX FURY DDR3 1600 MHz DIMM Memory Kit comes with two 8GB memory modules to deliver a total memory capacity of 16GB for your desktop computer. The DDR3 modules are compatible with systems that have 240-pin slots. For performance, each module has been tested to run up to 1600 MHz at a latency timing of 10-10-10 under 1.5V. Moreover, Kingston has designed the pair of memory modules to operate at 1333 MHz or 1066 MHz for compatibility with older motherboards. They sport sixteen 512M x 8-bit DDR3 FBGA components per module. Furthermore, Kingston has armed each memory module with a blue heatsink to cool the components.

PnP JEDEC Timing Parameters
The PnP feature offers a range of speed and timing options to support the widest variety of processors and chipsets. The maximum speed will be determined by the computer's BIOS.

  • DDR3-1600 CL10-10-10 @ 1.5V
  • DDR3-1333 CL9-9-9 @ 1.5V
  • DDR3-1066 CL7-7-7 @ 1.5V
General Features
  • JEDEC standard 1.5V (1.425 to 1.575V) power supply
  • VDDQ = 1.5V (1.425 to 1.575V)
  • 800 MHz fCK for 1600 Mb/sec per pin
  • 8 independent internal banks
  • Programmable Additive Latency: 0, CL-2, or CL-1 clock
  • 8-bit pre-fetch
  • Burst Length: 8 (Interleave without any limit, sequential with starting address 000 only), 4 with tCCD = 4 which does not allow seamless read or write (either on the fly using A12 or MRS)
  • Bi-directional differential data strobe
  • Internal self-calibration through ZQ pin (RZQ: 240 Ohms ± 1%)
  • On Die Termination using ODT pin
  • Average Refresh Period: 7.8 µs at lower than TCASE 185°F; 3.9 µs at 185°F < TCASE ≤ 203°F
  • Asynchronous reset

    Kingston HX316C10FK2/16 reviews

    16GB HyperX FURY DDR3 1600 MHz DIMM Memory Kit (2 x 8GB, Blue) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable and a Good Value I combined this kit with the previous 2x8GB kit I bought four years ago when I built my computer. Now with 32GB, I can run large video edits without slowdowns on the program (Movie Studio Platinum used to be owned by Sony), as well as running multiple intensive programs (video editing while rendering animated parts for the video) without freezing upon switching among programs. These DIMMs are not the fastest (compared to DDR4), but they haven't let me down (knock on wood going on five years of workstation use) and I think they're a good value. Being non-ECC, the memory is marginally faster than ECC memory while also being cheaper. I got these for about 20? less than they were four to five years ago. I trust this RAM and I am confident that it will last at least another four years. If you are looking for high capacity, non-ECC DIMMs of desktop memory that come at a good value, then I would strongly recommend this kit to you. Note: heat spreader design is different than the same RAM I bought several years ago. I was concerned that they might not be compatible, but they worked on the first go. I assume they updated the heat spreader design in the last few years. Nothing else seems changed. The specifications are identical between the two kits I have purchased.
