The EZ Box+ Softbox Kit for 528 and 672 LED Lights from Aputure softens and diffuses the output of all versions of the 528 and 672 lights to create a low contrast, single shadow quality of light. In addition to the standard diffuser, the softbox comes with a 35-degree grid that controls spill light and offers directional control in much the same way as a reflector would.

EZ Box+ Softbox Kit for 528 and 672 LED Lights is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap, Ill-fitting and Cumbersome The unit does direct and diffuse light minimally but is not quick or easy to set up. The softbox doesn't cut spill all that much though the grid does cut the spread significantly, with a lot of loss of light. The posts that attach the box to the light don't fit well and the ones on the bottom often fall out if not held in place by the diffusion material. It does not assemble quickly and is not suited for quick setups. Keeping the unit together makes it larger to transport and difficult to fit on the light without disassembling. There are lots of small parts that can get lost on location. Aputure makes fine lights and I am happy with their LED color rendition and power. This accessory however is poorly designed and needs a serious rework. I'd like to see a third party manufacturer with more experience in accessories make something for the 528 and 672 light series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Highly Recommended I read the reviews complaining about how hard these soft boxes are to set up, and thought how hard can they be to put together? So it turns out they are in fact tricky to set up, but on the other hand are perfectly engineered to fit the 528 and 672. Once set up, these 3-in-1 boxes work like a charm. The diffusion reduces hard reflections on the face, and the grid is almost like having a spot (great for a back light). Very satisfied, would definitely buy again. That said, it would be nice if it came with a carrying pouch for all of the pieces so they don't get lost (the included carrying pouch is only for the sticks). Probably a good idea to keep the boxes for transport.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must have for 672s Lighting controls are a must for me when I use panels. These are likely the idea light control specific to the 672 and 528. Unlike other softboxes people use with these lights, this will not block the ventilation ensuring that the light doesn't overheat. The diffuser softens the light, the outer box prevents spill. Given the light is best in small environments, controlling spill is that much more important. The grid further focuses the light. Again important when using this light in small environments. You have the freedom to use modularly, using the diffuser only, diffuser and box or both with grid making this a flexible combination. Building it out does take a few minutes compared to umbrella style softboxes. I am concerned that it's a bit finicky to get the diffuser rods inserted into the mount on the light. Given that, the plastic rods seems to be the most fragile element. To date, Aputure doesn't offer replacement rods if they were to break. Hence the loss of one star. I'd also add that I think this is best use with the 672s model specifically since its far brighter than the w and c models which aren't very bright to begin so might not withstand the light loss that any diffuser would cause.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not really so EZ but a good compact accessory I feel like the design is just as fidgety and annoying to assemble as any other studio softbox. It's certainly better than nothing, and I really like having more control over the side spill when using the grid. I also like the fact that it breaks down to a pretty compact size. Still, I just wouldn't call it EZ.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for controlling light spill I got this as a means of restricting light when using my aputure Amaran. I attached the softbox and grid to the light easily and I used a boom stand to set up a Pancake Lantern system overhead my subject. The result was incredible. This softbox really makes my scene lighting look more professional.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Concept but Durability is Questionable My first copy was a dud. The rods would not fit into the brackets all the way and could not hold the grid or softbox. I can see myself fumbling around with this and losing parts after one or two times of using it. I have asked for a second copy, so we will have to see.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Like It Sure it takes an extra minute or two to rig but I found it to not be that much of an inconvenience. Although it will never duplicate a large scale soft box/light rig I found it does a pretty good job for projects that are of the right scale for its abilities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good not great The softbox is just ok. It doesn't soften the light as much as I wanted, but the grid works really well for directing the light better. It is a little harder to put together than I expected.
