Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase! What a great purchase! I can't believe that I've been using a standard neck strap for so many years, I guess that I had incorrectly assumed that all sling straps attached to the bottom of the body only. This was a turn-off to me because I keep an L-bracket on my body since I often shoot a lot of landscapes. The OP/TECH strap attaches to the neck strap connection points on the body, I love that! Also, there are uni-loop connectors that snap on and off quickly in the event that you want to disconnect the body from the strap. I've purchased OP/TECH neck straps before and the quality is very high, in fact the strap that this was a replacement for was an OP/TECH strap that was 6 years old and there was no fraying or other issues...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Inexpensive Strap for Micro 4/3rds I looked at Peak Designs and watched their Promo Videos, but I chose Optech because of my concern with the way the straps attached and released. I also chose over BlackRapid because I'm using with a Micro 4/3rds and don't want a second attachment point on the tripod mount. I prefer a sling over a neck strap even though my camera is pretty light. I found the Optech Website and videos to be somewhat confusing. Case in point - how the quick release works with a second tether strap(I'm not that concerned, but still like/want a second attachment point on the camera). So I ended up buying the sling strap adapter which is NOT needed. It's purpose is to take one of their other neck straps and convert it to a sling strap. As noted I purchased the X-Large Strap which is I believe about 5 longer. I figured I could shorten it if needed, but you can't make them longer. I believe it's 31 instead of 25. I have a long body so that worked out great. Anyone 6' or over with a long body or someone with a very large chest will probably want the XL version. The clips and materials and function are all pretty good. I wouldn't say this is the best strap on the market, nor the most comfortable. But it's good for my purposes. If I was lugging around a Nikon 810 with a 70-200mm I'm sure it would work but I think I would want a more padded shoulder and perhaps a wider strap. In any case it's a good product. The sling works fine, but if you use a second attachement point on your camera (Buy the extension kit not the sling adapter) you might find that it interferes with an articulating LCD if you have one. My best suggestion isn't for the buyer but for OPTECH. Please work on making literature/Product Demos that are TUTORIALS of how to use your products instead of videos which just show it being used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Strap-Sling! Love it Love it Love it I'm glad I bought this camera strap. I always like to carry my camera cross-body (over one shoulder, camera hanging opposite side near waist), and this sling-type strap fills the bill. It is Super-Comfortable - you hardly know it's there - and well-made. I bought the X-Large so I would be sure to have enough length, and it's perfect for me. I'm 5'10 tall, 44 chest, and I have plenty of adjustment room. The adjustment mechanism for this strap is quick, easy and non-slip sturdy. Also, an added benefit: works great as a Strap-Pod to help steady camera for hand-held shooting. Like others who have reviewed this strap, I connected it to the left camera lug, rather than the right. This keeps the strap out of the way for portrait orientation shots. I would buy this strap again. It's the best! Larry H50

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this to my other camara great!! I was looking for a strap that could go on the sides, this really fits my needs. I like also the uni-loops, which can hold allot of weight (so I feel secure with my camera hanging), there also practical because any time I want I can take the strap off really quick and live the camera in a tripod, without the strap in the middle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORSE OPTech qucik adjsut locking system This one is the WORSE Optech quick adjust locking system. The strap is ALWAYS extending down to the longest lenght. Very UNCOMFORTABLE. DO NOT buy this XL Quick Adjsut Strap

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great in combination with an OP/TECH wrist strap On my professional shoots, I usually stick to OP/TECH wrist straps on my Olympus and Panasonic cameras. However, I wanted something that would leave my hands free when carrying a camera while traveling, and didn't want a typical neck strap. This sling strap fit the bill. The one downside to the sling is that the strap can get in the way when shooting in portrait orientation (with the grip at the top), but since the sling has two connectors attached - one male, one female - I realized that I could easily carry my wrist strap attached to the male connector (which doesn't interfere with the camera attached to the front female connector). It just takes a few seconds to detach the camera and wrist strap from their connectors, snap them together for shooting, then separate them and reattach to the sling connectors when I'm no longer concentrating on shooting. As with all of the other OP/TECH gear I've purchased over the years, the sling strap is high quality, but very utilitarian. Compared to some of the fancier options out there, this keeps their prices quite reasonable, especially when you consider how long they last.
