Poorly designed

No stars This is a poorly made product One of the parts fell off the frame and needed to be re attached while attempting to use it the first time The attachment for the phone is cumbersome and took too long It is too difficult to get the lens of the phone attached in the center of the binocular eyepiece I plan to return this item this week

so-so adapter

I've had this adapter for over a year. Adjustments are very finicky, and it takes unacceptably long to attach your phone to the scope--by the time you're done adjusting everything, the wildlife you were observing is likely to have moved on. I would not buy it again.

All around good product

It's mostly plastic, so make sure there is a secure place in your bag. The screws, threads, etc. are all metal which I appreciate. The counter weight doesn't feel like it will hold, but it does work well. The clamp to fit over your binocular or monocular eye piece holds well.

Works as advertised. Takes good pictures and video. Only issue I can find is that it's the only way to use binoculars when it's installed. I found myself wanting to take it off to use binoculars. Great product though.

Good if you plan to use it a lot

Interesting system, but cumbersome if you're going to set-up and take down, or if you use it only occasionally. Since I wasn't going to do that much photography I returned it.

Digiscopting Adapter

This product can be a little challenging to attach to larger binoculars. When using a Galaxy Note 4, the on/off button tends to get triggered even with the provided padding to lift the adapter away from the cell phone buttons. In addition, even with tightening to capacity, the phone has a tendency to come lose from the adapter. The biggest issue is the phone getting turned off because the tightening required to hold it on the adapter presses the phone button. However, if you get your phone on the adapter and focus the binoculars correctly, you can get good terrestrial images. With larger binoculars that have higher magnification, you are not likely to get good celestial images because you need a very steady tripod and a larger celestial object. Smaller objects (like Jupiter, Saturn, Mars) will only show up as a blurry dot. But I have been able to take great daylight terrestrial images of objects over a quarter of a mile away with me cell phone using this adapter with 25x binoculars. But this adapter is just a piece of plastic, so it seems overpriced at about $65.00.

Does not work with iPhone 10

Not quite universal... The camera on the iPhone 10 is off to the side and not in the center. The SnapZoom can only accommodate centered cameras. I also tried it with my older Android phone, but it can only be awakened by clicking the side button and this is inaccessible in the mount. Sadly having to return this. I like the idea and it looked fairly straightforward to slip on and off the eyepiece.

Works great with my Iphone 5S & Iphone X Does what it says it will do. I use it when I shoot my rifle at targets on the range. I can just look over at the phone after each shot and instantly see the impact. Works great on binoculars or a spotting scope.

question

is this the 2016 updated model? and what the new features of the 2016 model are?
Asked by: Anonymous
Not sure if this is the new model that I got but it works - was a little fiddly setting up but I understand why it has to be so that it can be used with many different phones and bino's/telescopes combos - I'm using an iPhone 6 plus and 15x50 IS canon binos, because of where the camera lens is and the size of the eyepiece of the binoculars I decided to file out a bit of a circle in the slit for the camera as the adjustment is so fine and I think the plastic was getting in the way but it was a 2 second job no biggie.I'll answer any questions if you want.

question

Does this work with a samsung galaxy sg7 edge
Asked by: Anonymous
We have the older galaxy s2 and s3, but I think it will work with any model as it's completely adjustable both for size and location of camera lens. It also has pads that can be be inserted wherever the phone switches are to ensure it doesn't interfere.

question

Will this work with a samsung galaxy s9?
Asked by: Nancy G.
The in side dimension is roughly 3.5 . So if the Galaxy s9 is wider than 3.5 you will have an issue fitting it into the cradle. The middle third of your phone will be blocked, so if the buttons are we within the middle third of your phone, you will have an issue as the below person answered.

The unit is heavy so if you have a small telescope I dont recommend it. Once you place the unit and add the phone it gets heavier making it difficult to keep telescope focused.

question

Will this item work with the iPhone 7plus?
Asked by: Anonymous
When reading all the answers about the lock button being activated by this device, I found that NOT to be the case with my iPhone 6S. Then I realized the reason: I had a full OtterBox case on it, and it fits GREAT, without any button compression (I only hand-tighten the red screw to reasonably snug. This also protects the phone should it become dislodged and fall (hasn't happened yet). As far as fitting the 7 Plus, measure your phone +/- any case (but a case may avoid the button activation issue). Here are the specs cited above:Smartphones up to 3.67 / 93 mm wide & 0.79 / 23 mm thick Binoculars/microscopes/spotting scopes with eyepiece 0.91 - 2.17 / 23-55 mm wide & minimum 1 / 25 mm high.Works very well for me on Nikon Monarch and Action series binoculars.

question

Will this work with celestron powerseeker 127 / iphone 6?
Asked by: Kirill A.
The bracket accommodates 2 oculars such as found on a pair of binoculars.Your telescope has only one.But .... The bracket comes with a detachable counter weight used to balance it when using on a scope with just the single ocular.IPhone 6 is comparable. When using this bracket, I suggest using your phone compatible earbuds as a remote shutter trigger. Plug in earbuds and use volume control to trip shutter. Also you may want to experiment with different photo apps that give you more manual control of focus and exposure.
