question

is this the 2016 updated model? and what the new features of the 2016 model are?
Asked by: Anonymous
Not sure if this is the new model that I got but it works - was a little fiddly setting up but I understand why it has to be so that it can be used with many different phones and bino's/telescopes combos - I'm using an iPhone 6 plus and 15x50 IS canon binos, because of where the camera lens is and the size of the eyepiece of the binoculars I decided to file out a bit of a circle in the slit for the camera as the adjustment is so fine and I think the plastic was getting in the way but it was a 2 second job no biggie.I'll answer any questions if you want.

question

Does this work with a samsung galaxy sg7 edge
Asked by: Anonymous
We have the older galaxy s2 and s3, but I think it will work with any model as it's completely adjustable both for size and location of camera lens. It also has pads that can be be inserted wherever the phone switches are to ensure it doesn't interfere.

question

Will this work with a samsung galaxy s9?
Asked by: Nancy G.
The in side dimension is roughly 3.5 . So if the Galaxy s9 is wider than 3.5 you will have an issue fitting it into the cradle. The middle third of your phone will be blocked, so if the buttons are we within the middle third of your phone, you will have an issue as the below person answered.

question

Does this work with galaxy s7?

The unit is heavy so if you have a small telescope I dont recommend it. Once you place the unit and add the phone it gets heavier making it difficult to keep telescope focused.

question

Will this item work with the iPhone 7plus?
Asked by: Anonymous
When reading all the answers about the lock button being activated by this device, I found that NOT to be the case with my iPhone 6S. Then I realized the reason: I had a full OtterBox case on it, and it fits GREAT, without any button compression (I only hand-tighten the red screw to reasonably snug. This also protects the phone should it become dislodged and fall (hasn't happened yet). As far as fitting the 7 Plus, measure your phone +/- any case (but a case may avoid the button activation issue). Here are the specs cited above:Smartphones up to 3.67 / 93 mm wide & 0.79 / 23 mm thick Binoculars/microscopes/spotting scopes with eyepiece 0.91 - 2.17 / 23-55 mm wide & minimum 1 / 25 mm high.Works very well for me on Nikon Monarch and Action series binoculars.

question

Will this work with celestron powerseeker 127 / iphone 6?
Asked by: Kirill A.
The bracket accommodates 2 oculars such as found on a pair of binoculars.Your telescope has only one.But .... The bracket comes with a detachable counter weight used to balance it when using on a scope with just the single ocular.IPhone 6 is comparable. When using this bracket, I suggest using your phone compatible earbuds as a remote shutter trigger. Plug in earbuds and use volume control to trip shutter. Also you may want to experiment with different photo apps that give you more manual control of focus and exposure.
