The Aironet 1700 Series Access Point from Cisco is a dual band entry-level 802.11ac-enabled access point designed to address the wireless connectivity needs of small and medium-sized enterprise networks. It features 802.11n-based 3x3 Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology with two spatial streams. The Aironet 1700 also boasts functionalities such as CleanAir Express for better cover through spectrum intelligence and RF management features. With support for 802.11ac Wave 1 standard capabilities, the access point offers a theoretical connection rate of up to 867 Mb/s, which allows connection for more wireless clients, access to bandwidth-heavy multimedia applications, and use of multiple Wi-Fi devices per user.
