Sport a pair of Smith Optics' black large-fit, full-frame Knowledge Turbo Fan OTG Snow Goggles with Blue Sensor Mirror lenses over your specs for superior anti-fog performance on the slopes. A hydrophobic coating on the lens repels moisture, grease, and grime; water will bead up and disperse without streaking, and smudges from fingerprints are wiped clean easily. With a variable light transmission of 60%, these goggles are optimal for low-light conditions. They incorporate two superimposed cylindrical lenses built on a base curve in the X (horizontal) axis and made from carbonic-x lens material. The two lenses are bonded together with spacer foam to create a thermal barrier, keeping your inner lens warm, dry, and fog free. The outer lens material is individually molded to offer optimum scratch and impact resistance, increased visual acuity, and enhanced contrast sensitivity.
Tapered Lens Technology (TLT) straightens out refracted incoming light rays by progressively tapering the lens from the optical center toward the peripheral view, enabling you to see with maximum accuracy and comfort. These goggles use the Smith Optics proprietary Porex filter to allow adjustment for changes in atmospheric pressure. The Porex filter equalizes the air pressure within the sealed lens chamber to balance with the ambient atmospheric pressure and prevent optical distortion caused by changes in elevation. For maximum fog control, micro-electronic fans actively promote the circulation of air even when you're stopped. The low setting can be used all day to exhaust moisture from inside the goggles. In extreme weather conditions, the high setting can be used to quickly remove moisture. The lenses also feature 5X anti-fog treatment which is over five times as absorptive as the Fog-X. The 5X anti-fog treatment employs a hydrophilic, micro-etched surface to disperse absorbed moisture over a wide area. Unlike standard anti-fog coatings, the 5X treatment can't be wiped away because it is physically embedded in the lens.
Compatible with the ODS3 Rx Adaptor (sold separately), these goggles enable you to leave your glasses behind and easily snap the corrective vision insert directly into the goggle chamber. In case you prefer to bring your specs along, there is ample interior room and a floating foam membrane which eliminates temple pressure. The Knowledge Turbo Fan OTG is compatible with PivLock Arena, Arena Max, and V2 Max sunglasses, and a PivLock nose bridge goggle adaptor is included. A dual layer of DriWix face foam and an articulating positioning system ensure a snug fit when wearing your helmet. The ultra-wide silicone-backed strap is equipped with the QuickFit system and a clip-buckle for easy adjustment and removal. A microfiber storage bag and cleaning cloth are included for storing the goggles when you aren't using them. Like all Smith Optics products, the Knowledge Turbo Fan OTG is made in the USA.
