Outfitted with superior High Density and Extra-Low dispersion optics, the Vortex's 3-15x42 Razor HD LH Riflescope does not compromise on ruggedness or precision opto-mechanics. To offer exceptional image quality and transmission of balanced color spectrum, low dispersion of passing light, and to deliver high definition true-color images, the lenses are crafted from high definition High Density (HD) Extra-L ow dispersion optical glass and a 42mm objective aperture that gathers enough light to provide bright images in most lighting conditions. The lenses are fully multi-coated with proprietary XRPlus anti-reflection coatings for maximum transmission and minimum glare. With the additional ArmorTek scratch-resistant coating, the objective lens is protected from scratches, debris, dirt, oil, and fingerprint stains.

Located in the second focal plane is the HSR-4 Reticle. It is based on MOA subtensions at maximum zoom with 2 MOA hash mark intervals. With two medium-weight horizontal tapered outer posts, two thin inner posts, and a thin crosshair, the reticle offers ultra-clean and unobstructed views of your targets. Enabling you to tap into the full potential of this reticle, such as edge-to-edge precision, the optical system was assembled using a computer-controlled alignment process. This high-precision process also delivers optimum image brightness and sharpness.

To match exceptional optical performance, this riflescope also offers an extremely durable construction and precision adjustments. Its 1" maintube is machined from a single-piece of high quality aluminum and coated with an abrasive-resistant and low-glare matte anodized finish. The scope is filled with argon gas and sealed with O-rings for a complete fogproof and waterproof performance. To provide a smooth and precise zooming action, the opto-mechanical gear is carefully designed and enhanced with Precision-Glide Erector System. The elevation turret also prevents dialing below zero. For visual reference, the fast-focus eyepiece and windage and elevation turrets are outfitted with scales.

3-15x42 Razor HD LH Riflescope (HSR-4 Reticle) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality glass I own two of the 3-15x42 HD LH with the G4 BDC reticles. Optical clarity and light transmission of these scopes is fantastic. Quality glass ranks first with me over features but a 1/4 MOA exposed elevation turret would be a nice feature on this scope. However, this scope tracks true using the covered turrets. The G4 BDC reticle is simple to use in the field and draws the shooter to a central point of aim in low light conditions. I've compared it to other scopes of equal and greater value and the Razor HD LH comes out on top in clarity and light transmission. I actually parted with another well known 3-15x42 HD model scope because it was not as good as the Razor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hunting Scope I purchased this to go on my Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm using this as a lightweight rifle for Antelope & Deer so wanted a lighter weight optic. I was concerned about the turrets as all other experience with Vortex has been in their tactical lines. After having used this scope several times, I wanted to write this positive review. If you're like me and like to dial your shots, you can still do it. The turrets aren't as pronounced, they're under caps, they don't provide solid clicks, there is no zero stop, etc. but if you're diligent, you can do it without issue. Otherwise, I've also used the HRS-T reticle to hold over the number of MOA I calculate and it has worked flawlessly, as well. I'll use this optic on all my hunting rifles going forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scope. I bought this over a year ago and like it more and more. Yesterday at the 1000 yard range I decided it was time to write a review. First off, it keeps my 300 win mag Xbolt Long range hunter under 10lbs. It apparently tracks spot on. I am zero'd at 200 yards and shot at 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800 ,900 and 1000 yards. I used a chronograph and the Voretxs long ranger ballistics calculator to get my data. I didn't miss a single shot at any range. I was really really happy with it. The clarity made 1000 yards seem like it was right in front of me. If you are worried about a zero stop, don't be. Once you zero you scope simply count how many rotations it takes to go all the way up (probably two) and you'll always be able to get back to zero. I can see myself getting another one for my next rifle. Price, build, tracking, and clarity and top notch. Great scope .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect hunting scope I've been using Vortex scopes on my tactical as well as hunting rifles since the early days of Vortex. I have a Razor spotting scope, Vortex levels and Vortex swicthview levers. I hunt with a Browning in 6.5 Creedmoor which I zero at 200 yards. I brought my spotting scope to the range upon initial zeroing and never used it, my Vortex Razor LH 3-15 resolved the image so well that I could easily track my shots without the spotting scope. I really like the reticle as it's uncluttered which is what I need in a hunting scope and the elevation hash marks coincide with my Applied Ballistics data to within a yard or two at longer ranges. Most of my hunting buddies have started using Vortex after looking through my variants and doing a little low light comparison. The Vortex Razor LH has everything you need in a hunting scope and nothing you don't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from By far, my favorite Vortex piece. I purchased the Razor HD LH 3-15×42 for my Kimber Mountain Ascent. Trying to keep weight down, I figure it would be a great option at 16.5oz. The level of quality was perfect; unexpected out of such a light scope. I was also worried about the 1" tube and the amount of light transmission. I have scopes with larger tubes that view a lot darker. I have since bought another, and have convinced two fellow hunters that they need one. 100% impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!! Vortex never lets me down. A couple years ago I sold off all my Nikon & Bushnells and went full Vortex best decision ever. Anyways the 3-15 LightHunter is amazing. I bought it for my 308 to hunt Elk in the mountians. Its lightweight helps ease carrying for long periods. The clarity is unreal at dusk and dawn. The G4 is super quick for those quick off hand close range shots. The BDC allows me to make 4” groups at 500y.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, clear glass. Great lightweight hunting scope with clear glass. In an attempt to reduce overall pack and rifle weight this year I got the Razor HDLH and mounted it on a Tikka T3 rifle. Because I hunt big country I went with a magnum caliber and the 3-15x scope. At the range I removed the turret caps and alternated 0 moa(100yds) and 10.5 moa (600yds) shots. When checking both targets the rifle grouped at both 100 and 600 yds, telling me the turret tracks pretty true and are repeatable. Wasn't sure what to think of the reticle at first, but have come to really like it for hunting. Only thing I would change, since I use the turrets to dial up elevation frequently, would be to have each click feel more "positive" or "crisp". Right now the turret feels a little "mushy" to me. That being said, the turrets do dial up elevation repeatably as stated above. Glass is clear, reticle is uncluttered, size and weight are ideal for hunting, price is right, design is basic leaving little to get hung up on clothing or your pack. Very nice scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect hunting scope Picked up one of these when looking for a scope for a hunting rifle, couldn't be happier. Super light, great glass, side focus and capped turrets. Zeroed at 100, dialed to 300, shot was dead on. Dialed back to 100, shot was dead on. As mentioned in other reviews the turret is not very tactile. Bare handed not a problem, but could be a concern while wearing gloves. Other than that I love it
