Epson S450099 overview

  • 1Description

Experience the traditional feel and texture of a classic darkroom paper with your modern digital printer by using Epson's Legacy Baryta Paper, available here in a 25-pack of 17 x 22" sheets. Using two barium sulphate coatings along with a microporous ink receptive layer this paper is able to replicate the look of a silver halide darkroom paper with a smooth satin finish. It is also an excellent paper on its own, using a 100% alpha cellulose base with a weight rated at 314 gsm and a thickness of 12 mil. Also, using minimal OBA content, the Legacy Baryta paper achieves a brightness of 93% and a whiteness of 90%. In order to maintain longevity, the paper is acid & lignin free and pH buffered.

Epson S450099 reviews

Legacy Baryta Paper (17 x 22", 25 Sheets) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning prints especially black & white I tested papers in 2010 and have been exclusively using an incredibly beautiful French paper since. With sad regrets I'm moving to the Legacy Baryta as the Legacy paper equals my current paper for color but exceeds in the B&W sphere. People's personal preferences aside, digital color at least matched chemical-based imaging some years ago, but not B&W. Finally, after so many years of just-so B&Ws, I'm looking at digital B&Ws that rival an old Galerie portfolio of mine. They are stunning and amazing to view. As Epson says, it's in the blacks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reproduces what you see on your screen This baryta paper reproduces what you see on your computer screen with only minor adjustments. Many papers require substantial brightening of the image because of flattening effect of going from transmitted to reflected light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Paper Ever Having used nearly all of the Signature quality papers from Epson, I would have to rate this Legacy paper the best. Sharp colors and great depth. Well worth the cost, if you want fine quality art paper. The Best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New favorite After testing dozens of archival inkjet photo papers, Epson Legacy Baryta and Platine are my new favorite non-matte papers, showing improved color accuracy and better contrast.
