Canon PZ-E1 Reviews

Smooth and easy and works perfectly with Canaon app

This is exactly what I hoped for. The zoom in both directions is quiet and works near instantly when connected to the Canon Android app. It is a little awkward to use manually unless you are on a tripod...but who shoots handheld zoom shots anyways? The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is price.

When this works, it is great...very smooth zooming in slow and fast mode. The first one I got stopped working in a month or less. Canon gave me another one. That one worked, but it fell off the lens in the dark and I lost it. I got another one. It worked fine for a while, but stopped working yesterday. It's easy for it to fall off the lens.

Works very well

Bring the ease of smooth zooms to your DSLR

Having been a Videographer for over 20 years, One of my biggest frustrations with converting to DSLRs to shoot video was the lack of the ability to smoothly zoom in or out. With the PZ-E1 and the the Canon EFS 18-135mm lens on my Canon EOS 80D I now have that ability again. The Power Zoom Adaptor works well with the lens and camera. You have two different speed options, and the zooms are very smooth. My only issue is that after a little over a year of use, the plastic locking mechanism on the battery pack broke. There does not appear to be anyway to fix it, so I ended up buying a new Zoom Adaptor. Overall I am pleased but I feel like it could have been made to be a little more rugged.

Will this work on a Canon C100 II?
Asked by: Aaron
This product is specifically for the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens. That lens itself will work well on the C100 II. So yes, if you are using this lens with the C100 Mark II it will work. https://bhpho.to/36psUSw

I have a video tripod. What Adapter do I need to mount my camera on the tripod. Because with the zoom control on the lens l can’t use my quick release plate.
Asked by: Duncan
I have a camera tripod, and there is no problem with the quick release plate. So, another option would be to get a second tripod, though I recognize this would be an added expense. Doing a quick search online, there are some adapters. I saw a "flexi-tilt" head that may work and there are also some sliding plates that B&H has. Obviously it will be dependent on your model and what you can use on your stand to replace or serve as an adapter for your camera.

question

Does this have to be removed to mount camera to a tripod or gimbal? Will the Canon Connect zoom feature work with the 77d?
Asked by: Robb
To the first question: No, no need to be removed to attach the camera to a tripod. Not familiar with the 77D but this works directly with the lenses not the camera.
