Canon ELPH 190 IS Reviews
Great small camera for kids & tourists
My teenager wanted a camera for Christmas and the decently long telephoto lens on this means sometimes getting shots that a phone can't get.
great canon camera
I was looking for a canon camera and I thought the extra zoom the stabilizer and Wi-Fi over the 180 was worth the extra price
Two days of fun
I have had my ELPH 190IS for just two days and it has exceeded my expectations, feature by feature. I am a professional photographer serving non-profits in town. Aside from my convenience, a small camera is less intimidating to event guests than a Rebel with full flash and grip! You do have to wiggle it around to get the focus spot where needed, but focus is always good. I need to carry two lenses for my Rebel to do what the 190IS lens can do. It does turn on in wide angle - 50mm would be better. I hope you can appreciate that the attached photo was hand-held and is a photo of Jupiter. Beat that!!
Better than before
This little camera is almost a duplicate of the one that it replaced - all the controls are conveniently placed the same way. But this one takes better photos.
good pocket camera.
this camera replaced a much older model. the menu and setup options are not as straight fwd w new model. That said image quality is good.
We love B&H!!!!
Customer service exceptional!! Like no other. My daughter is thrilled with her new camera. Thanks a million!!!!
ELPH 190 is all that and more
I had to replace an older ELPH, so I looked at various brands and models, and decided to get another ELPH. The 190 didn't cost much more than the 180, and offered a 10X zoom and other features. One was wifi--why would I want a camera with wifi? It turns out that I could send photos directly to my cell phone, use that cell phone as a wireless shutter release, or send pictures to my laptop without pulling the SD card. And the whole thing can slip effortlessly into my shirt pocket. There was a time when I toted a Nikon F2, several lenses, a handheld light meter, lots of Kodachrome 25, and a tripod, etc, but I've grown old and less ambitious, and like the convenience of travelling light. This little camera takes great pictures, is easy to operate, and is made by one of the premier camera manufacturers in the world. I'm very pleased with it.
We purchased this for it's wifi capabilities and it works great.
