Modern travelers searching for an attractive, sleek, protective, and well-made backpack to transport their 15" laptop, 10" tablet, clothing, and accessories will appreciate the gray HighLine BP 400 AW 36L Backpack from Lowepro. The pack features a dedicated CradleFit compartment to suspend and protect an up to 15" laptop. Included with the BP400 is a removable JumpKit and accessory work station for a tablet, smartphone, earbuds, pens, and other small items. The main compartment has a lid that unzips on three sides for easy access, with room for the included clothing cube. Underneath the lid is a zippered clear-mesh pocket. An exterior front zip pocket stores the included airline-approved liquids pouch and accessory work station.

Carry your BP 400 Backpack by the padded top handle, or wear with the adjustable, padded shoulder harness. The shoulder straps have a chest connector for added stability and comfort. Also for stability and comfort is a slim waist strap and an EVA-molded, breathable back panel. The same material is also used on the shoulder straps. Side compression straps help keep loads tight and secure. Additional gear is easily attached to the daisy chain attachment points on the front of the pack. In the event of inclement weather, simply deploy the built-in all weather cover. Added water and abrasion-resistance comes from the 420D nylon Oxford and Cordura construction. Last, but not least, is the tall stretch pocket for a water bottle or travel umbrella.

Durable and weatherproof materials keep gear safe from the elements. A built-in All Weather AW Cover adds an extra and optional layer of protection. It is constructed with heat-sealed seams and covers the entire pack to safeguard from rain, snow, dust, and sand.
Includes a clothing packing cube, airline-regulation-sized liquids pouch, plus Lowepro's exclusive and removable JumpKit device and accessory work station.
Keep your tablet, smartphone, earbuds, pens, and other small go-to items in the JumpKit, and remove to use them while your pack is stashed away.
Includes dedicated CradleFit laptop compartment to suspend and protect a device up to 15".
Get all-day comfort as you travel from location to location with the ActivZone harness system. It delivers targeted support where you need it most and includes an EVA-molded, breathable back panel and shoulder straps.
Two sets of lock-compatible YKK zippers help you keep your gear secure and free from roving hands as you move from airport to destination. Hand-friendly Duraflex zipper pulls provide smooth operation.
Thoughtful organization is built into the front pocket for easy access to travel essentials.
Tall stretch-mesh side pocket for a water bottle or travel umbrella.
Sturdy outer webbing straps help tighten the pack and reduce the bulk, which is essential when meeting carry-on requirements or traveling in crowded conditions.
Built with abrasion-resistant and weatherproof 420D nylon Oxford, 420 with TPU coating, and 210D nylon.
High-performance Cordura on sides of pack provide rugged and durable performance, helping to protect from tears and abrasion.

HighLine BP 400 AW 36L Backpack (Gray) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect travel bag!!! Great BAG!!! I bought it as my everyday bag to carry my laptop, hard drives etc. Honestly, its a bit big for that. My 15 MBP fits perfectly in the side slot, even in its THULE armor case. There are pockets and organization everywhere. It has become my go to for day trips etc when I know I won't make it back to my car for a few hours. It travels very well and the top pocket for all of your loose items is a life saver for airport security. My only critique and why it only gets 4 stars is the rain fly. Its in a small velcro stash pocket on the side and it has a tendency to fall out when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great bag, durable, roomy, and well organized I love this bag. It is my favorite non-camera bag. I do not normally use it for travel, I use it for commuting and hauling around all the stuff for taking my kids on day trips. It is 36L and that is pretty big. It is very comfortable and durable, and the chest strap takes a lot of weight off your shoulders. It seems pretty durable and my other LowePro bags have proven pretty indestructible. Here are some things I like about it that were hard to find all in the same back. Well padded for electronics multiple full height compartments besides the laptop part large enough compartment to hold a trapper keeper (in addition to electronics and other supplies rain cover two mesh pockets so I can hold a waterbottle and a wet umbrella at the same time smaller pockets on the outside for holding keys / wallet / phone while I commute. I hate having stuff in my pockets. Easy to clean The unique things I really like so far are below. The packing cube is nice for carrying spare clothes for my kids. since it is designed for adults it holds 2 full outfits each for my 4/5 year olds and doesn't even get half full. I also put a full sized towel in there with their clothes once. The toiletry pouch is air tight. I put some really smelly fresh herbs in it once that usually make my whole backpack stink during my commute, and you couldn't smell anything even when holding the pouch up to your face, and once opened the herbs stunk up the whole room I was in. I love the straps and padding. It is very comfortable even with a lot of weight. Fully loaded with stuff for my kids and a bunch of electronics I had it weighing over 40lbs and it wasn't terribly uncomfortable. I live in the East Bay and commute in to San Francisco. I am subject to a lot of rain and also weather patterns that split on both sides of my commute. It is nice having the all weather cover and a place to keep umbrellas. It holds a lot of electronics split amongst well padded compartments.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big backpack for travels This is a big and spacious backpack. It is a product for travel, the size is perfect for transport in airplanes cabin for the majority of airlines. The material is resistant and waterproof for small rains, for serious rain you need use the cover rain protection. The only thing that I dislike is the poor capacity for conserve its form, specially when you charge it under 50% of the total capacity. After a one year of use and some travels, the product is in perfect condition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfectness First of all I use a 8x10 Desrdorff camera , and from the new generation bags by mostly all brands it's not possible to find a fit for my lovely wooden beast. As soon as I saw the dimensions of the bag I had to order it, it looked very slim and discrete although The color is bright and the size is big, I had big hope for this bag and all came true, when almost empty it feels small, it fits the camera and 2 lens 3-4 film holders , and a lot of small staff - I did fit my Leica M to the top pocket , the bag is just perfect , the back system give the opportunity to breathe , it's not like the older camera bags. The straps feel so comfortable - it really takes the weigh off. Lowepro thank you for such perfect product. Also important to add that it come with 3 additional inserts that are good for clothes and small stuff !!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure... I have had several LowePro camera bags over the years, and my CompuTrekker AW is the most comfortable backpack Ive ever used. My 10-year-old North Face Surge wore out, and I didnt like the new model.I commute on foot a mile each way in all kinds of weather, so I was intrigued by the Highline BP400 AW. Im ambivalent about it. Good points: - -It is reasonably comfortable and rides well. - It holds a huge amount. - It has lots of pockets. - It has a readily-accessible attached rain cover. - The shoulder straps are comfortable and nicely adjustable, and there are convenient carrying handles on the top and on one side (but be careful not to trip over the straps when using them!). Shortcomings: - The JumpKit is a removable pen-pencil-phone-tablet holder, and seems like a good idea at first blush. However its pockets are very tight, and my iPhone 6 with a slim case doesnt fit in the pocket thats supposed to hold it without a fight. It has a tiny, tight pen holder, but its twice as deep as a pen is long, so if the pen slides down its a chore to retrieve it. The whole thing is more bulk, weight, and trouble than its worth; but without it theres no place to put note cards, ones phone, and a pen or two. - The computer pocket does hold a 15 laptop, but the waist belt (when stowed in its handy pockets) obstructs the bottom inch of the zippered opening. Some struggle is involved in getting a 15 computer in and out. - The padding on the back is cut away for ventilation (ActivZone), but it doesnt provide enough support to keep the bag from flopping over without a computer in itwhich makes it harder to load and unload. Finally, This bag is about twice as expensive as its North Face and REI competition. Im not sure yet whether its worth it.
