Developed as a compact zoom that is ideal for travel, the Lumix G Vario 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. from Panasonic is a Micro Four Thirds system lens that spans a versatile 24-120mm equivalent focal length range. Covering wide-angle to telephoto perspectives, the lens' design incorporates three aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range for increased clarity and image sharpness. Additionally, an apt POWER Optical Image Stabilization system compensates for the effects of camera shake and is also compatible with cameras featuring Dual I.S. for robust stability to benefit handheld shooting in difficult lighting conditions. Further cementing its place as a versatile and ideal lens for photographers on-the-go, this 12-60mm lens sports a dust- and splash-proof construction for use in harsh environments.

question

How does this compare with the 12-60 f2.8-4? Besides the aperture range changing more, is it the same lens and quality? Thank you.
Asked by: David
A Kia is nice. A BMW is better. That is the main difference with these lenses. The higher price gets you a faster aperture, better lens design and better build quality.

question

is this lens giving anyone else a lot of blue flares in pictures? I don't know if its lens or the camera gx8
Asked by: Sara M.
I use my Lumix G Vario 12-60mm f3.5-5.6 on my GX9 plus the GX7 I had until recently. I don't use hoods, often shoot in the middle of the day, and have never had a flare problem with this lens.

question

Have Olympus Pen E-P3, will Olympus image stabilization work with this lens?
Asked by: Rene
The lens does not have a manual switch to turn the image stabilization on/off. Most Olympus cameras will automatically default to in body stabilization when using Panasonic lenses. I would think the E-P3 works the same way. Hope this helps.
