The Polaroid SX70 is considered a classic among instant cameras. MiNT Camera has bought the SX70's classic design into the modern era with more manual control over the camera, by creating the SLR670m Instant Film Camera. The most recognizable part of the camera is the folding design, which makes it compact when collapsed, and easy to open by pulling up on the viewfinder.
The Time Machine is an external module that connects to the SLR670m and gives full control of the camera's shutter speeds. There is also one auto mode, A100 (SX70 film), which is in tune with the ISO's speed. Unplug the Time Machine and the camera will automatically go into A100 mode.
The electronics have been fully revamped and the electronic eye has been updated over that of the original SX70 to give a proper exposure. The auto mode is set to work with the ISO, and the brightness control wheel, set to neutral, gives the ability to shoot under most lighting conditions. If you find your image a little over- or under-exposed, adjust the brightness control wheel to control the exposure for another picture in the same location and lighting. 600 film can be used with the camera; simply use ND filters to compensate for the exposure. The ND filter is available as part of the Mint Lens Set and attaches to the lens via the lens holder (Mint Lens Set sold separately).
Focusing is made easy by the SLR viewfinder and the split image circle; rolling the focusing wheel to the left or the right slowly focuses what you see in the image circle. Each pack of instant film contains a built-in single-use battery to power the camera.
