Rated 1 out of 5 by from Maglite will be better but LED only This little light is small and powerfully BUT..... Unlike the madlite LED that you screw the end closed and turns the light off while in your pocket and will not turn on without a hard swist. This little light is the same, it is loose with OFF, and can either unscrew completely and fall apart with the battery falling out and the lense off. OR if spins the otherway will turn on, inside you pocket and drain the battery fast and next time you need some light will not work at all. Strange back to front design but the Maglite this can not happen. You Tighten the maglite to turn OFF, and the end is secure and cant move, this is the opposite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looked so good I bought 2, I should have bought 10! This is truly one of the first Next Generation LED flashlights I seen in this Form Factor. I spend allot of money on Quality LED Flashlights for all of the obvious reasons. Well these let me keep those $$$$ in a safe place when I just need a Great Bright Light of a small task. I have one attached to my Travel Backpack, and one attached to my Travel Brief Case. I can leave the more expensive lights in my vehicle or home for when I know I'll need extended Run Time or a larger Light Source. Top Quality, equal to the larger units out there!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Where's the beef I'm glad this FREE flashlight that came with my Nikon Aculon Rangerfinder was in some sort of packaging or it would have been lost in the box that the order was shipped in. It's barely larger than a double A battery. U screw the head down to turn it on and unscrew to turn it off. The thing will probably wound up lost before it gets used. On the upside, the little beam is fairly powerful and annoys the devil out of someone when u shine it in their eyes :) If you're seriously looking a nice flashlight, I wouldn't look at this one, unless you're vertically impaired, need a new key chain or want one to hang on a necklace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiny, powerful flashlight. Did I mention it was tiny? I got this flashlight for free with an order, and the photo online made it look much bigger than the tiny thing I pulled out of the package. The light uses a AAA battery and it is literally just a little bit larger than the battery. However, it makes a surprisingly strong amount of light for such a small flashlight -- really amazing, actually. The specs say that the flashlight will run for several minutes on a single AAA battery. I haven't tested this, but I can say that the beam of light is far too intense to look straight into it. I could not have imagined that such a small device could make so much light. The flashlight is small enough that you can carry it in your pocket or on a keychain and scarcely know it's there. Years ago, I used to carry around a small flashlight that used a AA battery. It had an incandescent bulb that ran for about a minute on a single AA battery. Yet I carried it in my pocket for a few years because if often had to check equipment in dark corners and needed to have a light. This tiny LED light with its AAA battery is MUCH brighter and lasts MUCH longer. If you want a weensy little flashlight that makes a surprising amount of light, this is the flashlight to get.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh This came as a freebie with a purchase and I think I know why. First, the battery that came with it was dead (and leaking). No a big deal but more significant is the design failure. You slightly unscrew the head to turn it on and tighten it to turn it off. What kind of foolish design is that? This is a keychain light and will easily turn itself on in a pocket or purse. Finally, this is a two-handed operation once outside the pocket. The light output is as expected from a AAA inexpensive light - it'll provide enough light to find something you dropped and the like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Keychain light to use as backup I got this mini flashlight as a gift with my purchase of a Surefire Sidekick. Easily, one of the best gift-with-purchase deals I've ever gotten. You'll be amazed at how much light this little light puts out (all 90 lumens of it). It produces a rather cool-white beam, which makes it easy to distinguish the colors of different objects in the dark. It has a very good balance between throw and spill. It's so small and light, you'll even forget you're carrying it. This little light can definitely blow the flashlight on your cellphone out of the water. It uses a AAA battery which is cheap and readily available at many stores. The flashlight might be cheap, but it doesn't feel or look like it. It's even waterproof!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super bright, excellent quality B&H threw a couple of these in with my order for free. Man, they are VERY nice quality. And SUPER bright for a single LED flashlight. Takes a AAA battery, has a nice ring on one end to attach it where needed. I now use this for colminating my 10 Dob telescope as other flashlights were not bright enough.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fire Hazard This light guy puts out a lot of light.. BUT.... DO NOT put the supplied battery in backwards (as is often done when storing a tiny flashlight of this sort so that it doesn't turn itself on while in a camera bag). My wife did that, and fortunately she was still there to notice the smoke from the battery melting, destroying the flashlight and charring nearby paper which could have caused a serious fire if unattended. I've no idea whether the battery or flashlight was defective, or whether you simply can't reverse the battery in this device, but in any case BEWARE.
