Link Bridge SR-F3 overview

  • 1Description

This Link Bridge Kit includes an HDMI over HDBaseT Wall Plate Transmitter and an HDMI over HDBaseT Wall Plate Receiver. The system carries unidirectional HDMI video and Power over HDBT a maximum distance of 230' on a single Cat5e/6 cable.

  • HDMI over HDBaseT Wall Plate Transmitter

Route HDMI signals to the other side of the room (up to 230') without any quality loss by installing this Link Bridge HDMI over HDBaseT Wall Plate Transmitter along with a receiver in your wall. Using balanced Cat5e or Cat6 cable, HDBaseT can carry HDMI signals over longer distances without dropouts when compared to standard unbalanced HDMI cables. Since this setup sits inside your walls, it keeps your presentation area clean from cables traveling across the room and up the walls. HDBaseT preserves all aspects of the HDMI signal including resolution, audio, as well as HDCP and EDID protocols. Power and link LEDs ensure that you know your signals get to where they need to be. This unit accepts Power over HDBaseT (PoH), so a power supply is only required at either the transmitter or receiver end.

Link Bridge SR-F3 reviews

HDMI over HDBaseT Wall Plate Transmitter/Receiver Kit with PoH (230') is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from 1080p Good / 4k Bad. Early adopters beware. This review covers both the transmitter (T) and receiver (R) units, as the two must work together to transport the signal. This product works perfectly for 1080p/60Hz (even over cat 5e) but does not perform as advertised transporting a 4k HDMI signal over cat 5e OR cat 6. For this it completely fails. Also, during operation, and even WHEN IDLE, this unit runs at close to 80 celcius, and possibly higher - well higher than the 55 celcius running temp stated in the docs. It runs so hot that I could not hold my finger against the front facing surface of the receiver unit for more than a few seconds to avoid getting burned...even when idle! Something like that embedded in my wall makes me very uneasy. And since there is a brilliant no-return policy on this product, the buyer is simply out of luck. It feels like there is a serious case of false advertising here. Anyone wanting to use it for 1080p long runs should be good to go. But, 4k early adopters, beware.
