Utilizing a patented assisted-opening system developed by knife maker Butch Vallotton, Gerber's F.A.S.T. Draw Folding Knife makes an ideal EDC tool for most general-purpose needs. F.A.S.T. stands for "Forward Action Spring Technology" and employs an internal torsion spring that pulls the blade fully open after the blade is partially deployed. The blade is made of 7Cr17MoV stainless steel in a straight edge tanto configuration. Dual thumb studs enable easy operation with either hand. A plunge lock releases easily by depressing the push-button, enabling one-handed closing without putting your fingers in the blade's path. This knife comes ready to use in convenient clamshell packaging.
