Updated with a patented assisted-opening system and a G-10 handle, Gerber's Mini Covert F.A.S.T. Folding Knife is designed as a sleek and simple tactical EDC knife fits comfortably in the pocket and deploys quickly when needed. Its 2.9" modified drop-point blade is reminiscent of a dagger-style for punching, while it's partially-serrated edge makes quick work of most materials. Knife maker Butch Vallotton developed the assisted-opening system dubbed F.A.S.T. - "Forward Action Spring Technology" - which employs an internal torsion spring that pulls the blade fully open after the blade is partially deployed. Dual thumb studs enable easy operation with either hand.

To give the knife a sure grip, it is made of textured G-10, with a symmetrical design, and deep forefinger and thumb grooves. This knife also employs a novel dual lock system. A secondary safety locks the blade closed or open for additional security, with a primary liner lock to securely set the blade in the open position. To close the blade is a button release which makes it easier to manipulate with gloves on versus conventional liner locks. This knife comes ready to use in convenient clamshell packaging.
