With a grip designed for maximum traction during use, Gerber's 06 F.A.S.T. Folding Knife opens quickly and stays locked in your hand whether you're cutting or thrusting. This knife utilizes Gerber's patented F.A.S.T. (Forward Action Spring Technology) assisted opening system to make opening the blade fast and virtually effortless. The 3.8" stainless steel tanto blade is primarily meant as a piercing tool with a thick spine to reinforce the forward tip. Beyond its piercing design the blade has a slight downward curve reminiscent of a clip-point for cutting and slicing that, when coupled with the combo blade edge, will make short work of rope, cord, and hide.
Made of textured G-10, the handle is ergonomically shaped for maximum gripping power with deep finger grooves, a down-turned pummel and forward hand guard. A piston lock holds the blade securely open, and a button on the handle acts as a release which keeps your fingers far from the closing blade as well as a secondary safety lock to prevent the blade from opening accidentally.
