Let the blunt-tipped blade of the Gerber River Shorty Green Fixed Blade Knife keep you safe from entanglements out on the water while reducing the risk of puncturing your rubber raft. With a molded plastic sheath that clips to your Personal Flotation Device, it will be ready when you need it. One side of the 3" blade is fully serrated to help cut a tie-off rope, stray fishing line, or sever cord quickly. Finger jimping on the other side provides a positive grip, and a false edge lets you spread peanut butter or cream cheese when it comes time for lunch. The high level of polish on the stainless steel blade helps prevent corrosion in an aquatic environment. The glass-filled nylon handle is lightweight and offers a solid grip with its porcupine-like edges along both sides, some of which are a bit longer to promote a natural thumb and finger placement along the lower edge. Gerber proudly manufactures this knife in their Portland, Oregon facility.
