Engineered with over-sized objectives and a large exit pupil to optimize its low-light performance, Bushnell's  green 8x56 Trophy Xtreme Binocular sports a fully multi-coated lens system and phase-corrected BAK4 prisms to produce bright and clear high-contrast images from pre-dawn to post-dusk. This 8x optic has the ability to focus at 10 feet, making this version of the Trophy series ready for almost any intermediate to long-range glassing task. The magnification is kept relatively low to give users an exceptionally large 7mm exit pupil to accommodate user's pupils when they dilate as it gets dark so the view through the optic is easy to see without vignetting.

The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof - especially in extreme weather conditions. To reduce user-fatigue and keep them steady, a tripod adapter mount is located in the front of the hinge for setting them up on a support system. A right-eye diopter adjustment allows the binocular to be customized to most people's needs, and the twist-up eyecups provide comfortable use with or without eyewear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Even nicer than my 8x50s My 8x50s have withstood many hours of an assortment of applications, always up to the task. But I opted for a little more aperture and got these, which proved to perform better in twilight conditions as well as for a bit of stargazing. One could do worse, for sure. Bushnell couldn't tell me with any assurance whether these were fiberglass reinforced polycarbonate, a desirable material for the in and out of temperature extremes I put them through, but they said, instead, not to worry, because if anything ever went wrong their warranty was iron-clad, and all I had to do was send them in for free repair or replacement for the life of the instrument. Good to know. If you wonder about buying these, there is no reason not to, whatever your needs, be it hunting, birding (great close focus), astronomy (fine optics), or nature watching: I took them to the zoo and many people commented how they had wished they had remembered to bring a pair, admiring the Bushnells and asking details about them, all of which I proudly gave...
