Is there any magnification when using the MC-11, a Sony A7III (full frame), and a Canon EF 100m f2.8 IS USM L in the macro mode? Thanks!
Asked by: Charles
Nope. And you will need to turn off the IS on the lens otherwise it won't work on the Sony.

Very specific question. If you don’t know, don’t answer “I don’t know”, just don’t respond. Will this work in being able to adjust the aperture of my Zeiss 50mm 1.4 ZE lens when using on the NEW Sony A7rIV camera. I know it will work on the older models but I need to know if there needs to be a firmware update for this adapter for it to work properly on the newest Sony alpha cameras as of December 2019
Asked by: James
YEs if you use the Sigma MC-11 EF to E mount adapter with the Zeiss 50mm F1.4 you will be able to adjust your aperture.

Using an "incompatible" canon 70-200 (old model) on my a7, I hear a scratch kinda noise when the camera is turned on/off or woken up - am I breaking my lens?
Asked by: Tom
Is it a Canon FD or EF lens? Also, it should function properly and all should be fine, so if anything it is more than likely an issue with the lens itself.

Is it safe to assume that lens compatibility refers to the use of auto-focus? Do all manual fixed lenses work? Like Rokinins and such?
Asked by: Eric
Yes, manual fixed lenses will work with this converter, as long as it has an EF mount. I even use a classic Nikon lens with an EF mount adapter and it attaches smoothly to the MC-11.
