Why does this not charge when connected to the ...

Why does this not charge when connected to the cable supplied with the Z30 (USB-C to USB-A)? I can only charge w/my own USB-C c

So let me get this straight..I buy a Nikon Z30 (my 4th Nikon, so Im no stranger), and it comes with a cable that is USB-a to USB-C. I buy the Nikon AC adapter that has a USB-A port and it doesnt work. They want me to buy a separate AC adapter (that is more expensive) but to use it, I would have to buy a separate cable. (So the cable that came with the camera is useless.) Who else rips off their loyal customers like that? Everywhere else, USB is USB. Very disappointing.

This can be used ONLY for time-lapse video, not continuous video. The battery will deplete if you keep the shutter open continuously.

This item can ONLY be used to charge the camera for time-lapse video. It will not keep the camera charged for continuous video.

Technically it would work but because the voltage output is lower, it would charge the battery in the Nikon Z6II slower than usual.

There is conflicting information regarding whether this EH-73P can be used as a power source to enable shooting video or time-lapse: Youtube reviewer and professional photographer, Jared Polin, says you can NOT use the camera while charging through the USB port. Can we get a definitive answer from a Nikon rep or a tech who has actually been able to shoot the Z 50 while using the EH-73P as a power source?

No, the Nikon EH-73P Charging AC Adapter cannot be used as a continuous power source to provide continuous AC power to the Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Digital Camera for video or time lapse usage needs. It is only designed to charge the battery inside the camera when the camera is in use. At this time, Nikon does not have a continuous AC power adapter option for use with the Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Digital Camera.
