Glidecam XR-PRO Reviews
Glidecam XR-PRO !!!
x-cellent product, easy to use and very nice effect ! It's for my camescope.
Very well built.
I’ve been using it with my BMPCC4k Sigma 18-35 Art, It is very comfortable to use even though quite heavy.
Balancing is difficult
Balancing this Glidecam is extremely difficult, I have had this product for a while and think it was made to perform better with heavier cameras. I am using it with an entry-level DSLR which weighs about 3lbs and at this point, I can get better handheld footage than I can with the Glidecam. The build quality is excellent though and I think that with a lot more practice and upon purchasing a higher quality camera, this product will begin to shine. Definitely be ready to pull a bit of your hair out balancing it though.
Best quality for this price!
Best glidecam for starting professional production!
Weil worth the money.
It goes together easy and with a little practice your clips are just as good as a movi.
easy for beginner
I decided to get the less expensive model as this is the firs glidecam I've ever used. The setup was easy. Balancing it can be a bit fickle to get it "just right", but it's worth the time and there are many YouTube videos that are helpful. Other than that funny looking "crouched walk" I'm now doing to get the footage (kidding), all good. If you're looking for a beginner glidecam, I recommend this one.
Great piece of equipment
It has a steep learning curve but worth it. Really smooth video. End results is totally professional.
Heavy, but works
Using this with a Canon 5D Mark III. It requires some arm strength, but, with a little practice, it provides smooth enough video clips. It would likely do a much better job with a camera that has good internal video stabilization.
