Turbosound iP2000 overview

  • 1Description

The iNSPIRE iP2000 from Turbosound is a self-contained full range powered speaker system well suited for small to medium-sized performance venues, houses of worship, boardroom presentations, nightclubs, and more. The 1000-watt powered column loudspeaker features a 12" subwoofer, 16 neodymium mid-hi drivers, a horn-loaded super tweeter, KLARK TEKNIK Spatial Sound Technology (SST), a digital mixer, Bluetooth audio streaming, and remote control via iPhone/iPad.

With a 120° dispersion, the iP2000 provides such wide coverage; it eliminates the need for monitor wedges for performers and creates a more even, sonically balanced soundscape that covers the entire room. Additionally, the SST creates a well-defined virtual 3-D environment, enveloping the listener in a rich and more realistic experience. The integrated DSP ensures the greatest signal integrity possible by analyzing the incoming audio and intelligently applying specific filters to improve the sound quality.

The built-in digital mixer accepts balanced and unbalanced connections for dynamic microphones and line-level instruments. The on-board interface is simple by design with a rotary push encoder and buttons for Process, Setup, Exit, and Enter. The back-lit LCD displays parameters for Delay, Limiter, High/Low shelving and parametric EQs, and Presets. All controls can be controlled locally, or via the free downloadable iOS app. The iP2000 ships with a standard IEC power cord.

    Turbosound iP2000 reviews

iNSPIRE iP2000 - Powered Column Loudspeaker with 12" Subwoofer is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Event Speaker We use 2 of these for our live events as our main stage speakers. They are wonderful. Very powerful, clear sound. The app is awesome. On smaller gigs, we don't even have to use a mixer. You have 2 XLR/Phono inputs and you can stream a Bluetooth device. So that's 2 mics and music with only one power cord to plug in! Fantastic. When not in use, this is my living room sound system. Simply amazing to have these firing in a home, WOW. They are always out of stock. Get one when they come in. Bass is solid, not quite as deep until you really crank the levels, which tells me the Ohms are made for venue volume, not home.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good not great This is a great system for the price. Its very loud for the size and its a great looking rig. The bluetooth works perfectly and is a great idea. but I also tested the The JBL Eon One and sounds better but it does cost more. For the price this unit is a real strong product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exceptional Value - Quality Sound As a former turntablist, on air personality & current corporate DJ-with 35 years in the business, quality sound is essential. Having a PA that can fill a venue with smooth, crystal clear sound is a must. The Inspire IP2000 fills the bill for a portable PA with a sweet price point. I have owned a lot of heavy rigs & I auditioned a lot of systems - of course the venerable, but wildly overpriced Bose L1 & II systems, but this system has it all. It freaked the crowd out - set up in 5 minutes total, Bluetoothed an Ipad from across the room, EQed the system and had the crowd engaged before some people even realized what happened. Its a DJs dream 1x/2x, corporate AV talking head functions will soar, for any in house AV tech team, this is the system to have for impromptu meetings, receptions, small to medium gatherings in 1 k - 3k sq ft. spaces. For me the Maui 28 Mix was a close runner up, but with no Bluetooth connectivity and $500 more cost, the Inspire was the economical choice. The system can get loud, & it can thump, but it is very clean, the sound is crisp, & does not sound disembodied, fragmented, due to the vertical sep of the highs & lows... And it is contiguous over a nice distance of 20 - 50 ft, gain falloff is gradual, dispersion is exceptional. It does take a minute to get the right sound for the venue, if you really want to squeeze every drop of performance out the system, but once you familiarize yourself & own your system, you can EQ it in moments. The mobile app is good, but beware of the precision of the dials, yes you can adjust volume, input gain and EQ from afar, but the latency on the dials is a little hokey at times -requires a deft touch or else, you'll get some really soaring gains. The integrated mixer control is very straight forward, the mic input with an old Sm beta 58, a Rode, a Neumann and a Blue all sounded superb. Even with a Behringer X1222 which I use for more complex gigs, it performed well with FX. Rt now - its a buy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bluetooth The Bluetooth aspect of these speakers is odd. From what I can make out so far the Bluetooth input is a separate circuit within the unit. So that means if you want to link two speakers via BT you have to use your device as a source. I'm not a hundred 100% on this but that's what I've experienced so far. I tried using Tech Support via phone was not successful. Maybe firmware update will fix this issue? Otherwise speakers seem nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful system! I've been playing professionally for more than 40 years and began with old high impedance mics and column speakers in 1973. I have a one man band and rely on my system to reproduce my singing and speaking voice, acoustic and electric guitars and my Pro Tools custom backing tracks. I had previously owned and used Yamaha NS-400's JBL 315's, Bose L1 system II and most recently a Line 6 L2T. The IP 2000 is excellent, loud, clear and punchy. Having a dedicated tweeter atop the line array really projects the high end. The subwoofer is large and unwieldy, but man, what a sound! I can hear the kick drum clearly apart from the bass guitar tracks. I wish it had reverb on the two combo jack channels but the Bluetooth app is terrific. I no longer have to run tracks off my phone with an RCA cable. Highly recommend this for many different applications.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost to Good but Not Great People said this system is better than the Bose L1 system. They are wrong. This speaker is nothing compare to Bose L1. It is not clear, too bright, sound boxy and too weak compare to the Bose L1 with the digital mixer.
