This B&H Kit combines a pair of JBL JRX212 Speakers with a Crown amplifier, a sonic maximizer, a pair of speaker cables, and a pair of XLR cables to form the primary components of a sound system for live performance or stage monitoring. Each JRX212 features a low-frequency driver with a 2.5" (64mm) diameter edgewound ribbon voice coil which provides more cross-sectional wire area in the voice coil gap, for efficiency and power handling. The 1" (25mm) polymer diaphragm compression driver improves high-frequency performance as well as system reliability, while the advanced network topology crossover design shapes frequency response and delivers coherent summation in the crossover region. A progressive transition high-frequency waveguide provides optimal coverage control, reduced distortion, and smooth frequency response.
The Crown XLS 1002 is a stereo power amplifier offering 350W at 4 Ohm in a lightweight chassis using the company's ultra-efficient DriveCore Class D amplification platform. The amplifier includes built-in DSP with a dedicated band pass filter per channel, an integrated PureBand Crossover System, and Peakx Limiters to provide maximum output while protecting your speakers. The sonic maximizer delivers the sound-improving benefits of a Maximizer signal processor in dual mono operation. Each channel offers controls for Lo Contour, which adjusts the level of phase corrected low frequencies in the program material, while the Process control is for adjusting the level of phase corrected high frequencies in the program material.
The pair of 25' Speakon speaker cables are designed for low capacitance and low inductance PowerPlus wire, made of high-purity, stranded copper for a crisp, clean sound. It features an exclusive ArmorFlex outer jacket (black), providing you with a durable, yet highly flexible cable. The pair of 3' XLR-M to XLR-F balanced cables is designed to be an extremely quiet and flexible cable that is ideal for the most demanding live sound and performance applications. The cable is engineered to be durable and to provide protection against EMI, RFI, and static noise.
2 x JBL JRX212 12" Two-Way Sound Reinforcement Loudspeaker System
The JRX212 from JBL is a two-way 12" loudspeaker system. It is suitable for live sound and speech reinforcement applications, and can also be used for monitoring on stage. It features a 2.5" voice coil and a 1" compression driver, as well as a frequency range of 60 Hz to 20 kHz.
Its high-frequency driver is protected by a SonicGuard system, while the speaker's overall MDF construction allows for both durability and a suitable low-frequency response. With its non-resonant steel handles, the 43 lb speaker is easier to move around than if it had no handles at all. For connections, this loudspeaker sports 1/4" TS and Neutrik SpeakON terminations.
Low frequency driver sports a 2.5" / 64mm diameter edge-wound ribbon voice coil, providing a cross-sectional wire area in the voice coil gap
JBL 2414H-C 1" (25mm) polymer diaphragm compression driver delivers high frequency response
The network topology crossover design shapes the frequency response to deliver coherent summation in the crossover region
High-voltage capacitors and inductors with cores and heavy gauge wire enable the crossover network to handle high power without saturating
Progressive Transition high frequency waveguide provides coverage control, reduced distortion, and smoother frequency response
The enclosure is constructed from 0.75" / 19mm MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) to ensure durability and suitable low-frequency performance
SonicGuard protection for high frequency driver preserves against excess power without interrupting performance
Non-resonant, all-steel handles
18-gauge perforated, steel grille for protecting internal components from damage
Dual-angle pole-mount socket allows the speakers to tilt 10° for more uniform audience coverage
Crown Audio XLS 1002 Stereo Power Amplifier (350W at 4 Ohm)
The Crown XLS 1002 Stereo Power Amplifier offers 350W at 4 Ohm in a lightweight chassis using the company's ultra-efficient DriveCore Class D amplification platform. The amplifier includes built-in DSP with a dedicated band pass filter per channel, an integrated PureBand Crossover System, and Peakx Limiters to provide maximum output while protecting your speakers.
For inputs, the rear panel includes a pair of XLR-3F connectors, 1/4" and RCA inputs for flexible connections with a selectable input sensitivity of either 1.4 Vrms or 0.775 Vrms. Outputs are provided on both SpeakOn and binding post connectors.
You can set the amplifier's sleep mode for a designated period of time without having to press a button, as well as turn off all LED indicators except for clip and thermal to reduce distractions in dark venues. A security mode can be engaged to disable menu buttons, which can be locked and unlocked by entering a combination code. Full system reset allows for factory settings to be restored and a remote power trigger allows you to turn the unit on and off.
BBE Sound BBE882i Sonic Maximizer
The 882i Sonic Maximizer from BBE delivers the sound-improving benefits of a Maximizer signal processor in dual mono operation. The unit is housed in a single rack space chassis with balanced XLR inputs and outputs and is designed for applications requiring low noise, high headroom and +4dBu input levels.
For each channel there is a pair of Lo Contour and Process knobs plus a five-segment LED input level meter. A single function button switches the BBE process on or off in both channels, which is useful for comparing the processed sound to the unprocessed sound.
An LED next to the function button glows green when the BBE process is on and red when the process is off. The Lo Contour controls are for adjusting the level of phase corrected low frequencies in the program material. The Process control is for adjusting the level of phase corrected high frequencies in the program material.
Applications for the unit include multi-track studios, professional and semi-pro sound reinforcement, broadcast transmission, mobile DJ systems, nightclub sound systems and cassette copying.
Two independent BBE Sonic Maximizer signal processors in a single chassis
Applies different phase and algorithms to three separate frequency bands
Variable front panel controls allow the user to adjust the amount of process desired
Process and Low Contour controls per channel
Bypass switch for comparison of processed to unprocessed signal
Balanced XLR and 1/4" inputs and outputs
