I am new to this. How can I tell which side I should expose for the picture? I keep guessing wrong and getting black pictures.
The Arista EDU Ultra VC RC Paper (Pearl, 5 x 7", 250 Sheets) is only coated on one side, and that is the side to use.

What is the surface finish of this paper and how is it different from the non EDU designation?
This is a pearl surface and currently all of Arista's papers are called EDU.

question
The description says it compatible with magenta and yellow filters, 0-5...so does that mean its not compatible with 00?
I have used this paper successfully with ilford and Kodak variable contrast filters, but these do not have 00 grade. This is a relatively low contrast paper. A zero filter gives quite little contrast. 00 may not be necessary.
