This 1/4"-20 Screw to Cold Shoe Adapter from ProMediaGear is a simple means for converting any 1/4"-20 socket to accept shoe-mount accessories. Screw stoppers are integrated into the design to prevent accessories from sliding out and a center flash safety pin is compatible with Canon and Nikon flashes. The adapter includes a captive screw to secure the shoe in place via the included 5/32 Allen key.

    ProMediaGear CS2X5 reviews

1/4"-20 Screw to Cold Shoe Adapter (5-Pack) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from forget the rest Bought the 2 pack and was so impressed that we picked up 5 more to have in our arsenal. Pros: - designed with no integrated plastic and metal components - smooth edges with black powder coat - no pass thru design! Has 2 metal screw stoppers. - professional appearance - versatile mounting options - Made in the USA! Cons: - NONE -The Vello (see photo) failed when the threaded brass metal sleeve separated from the plastic. Pulled right out guys! Attached was my glorious 4x7 Piatto ikan light with a Matthews Hot Shoe Adapter 3/8 to 1/4. This combination (maybe too strong for the Vello) ended up falling into my hand instead of hitting the ground. Good catch! The Vello product we use only on tripod now. -The Hama shoe has too many parts that disassemble so it went in the trash (see photo) Pair this up with a Matthews Hot Shoe Adapter 3/8 to 1/4 and you're set to run. Will never trust metal and plastic integrated components again. You shouldn't either if you're a run-and-gun vidiot shooting combat style like me. Get these and use the others for tripod usage. Well worth paying the extra coin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review of a perfectionist Canon user It is the only metal Cold Shoe Adapter who works with Canon Speedlite 600EX. Because of the weather seal of the speedlite I have to put a lot of pressure to lock it when I use Cold Shoe Adapter from other manufactures. Cons: -The Canon Speedlite 600EX has a little movement when it is locked. It is because of the too thin area highlighted in the picture compared with (Version 3) SmallRig. -The front and back side of the speedlite shoe are exposed and the weather seal it is useless Improvements: -The area who holds the flash down can be a little thicker (the area highlighted in the photo compared with (Version 3) SmallRig) -The two stopper screws can hold a plate for a better weather seal -The area where the logo is can be a little longer to offer a better weather seal and support for speedlight Sorry to be a perfectionist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Possible Cold Shoe I purchased a pack of 5 that ends up costing a little over $8.00 per cold shoe. That's the same price you pay for a single plastic shoe with no Nikon/Canon locking hold. And the ProMedia is all metal with support for the lock. It's a no brainer. I threw out my plastic cold shoes not considering the risk of a $500 speedlight slipping out worth it. As for the review hinting the metal was too thin, just how severely do you plan on abusing your equipment? You'll snap your flash's base before you snap this baby!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product ! Having used lots of different cold shoes, I must say that this one is the very best I've found. Originally ordered 5, and have just ordered 5 more. Just get the 5 pack and you'll be happy! Like all ProMediaGear equipment, this is well made at a fair price.
