Sunpak 620-754 reviews

620-754 Quick Release Plate for UltraPRO 423 Tripod is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not waste your money on this type of quick release plate This quick release plate is junk! When tightened down it wiggles in the base, which means if there is an appreciable wind gust your picture is toast! I bought this and the Sunpak pistol grip ball head for my old Velbon aluminum tripod trying to upgrade on the cheap. You get what you pay for. I ended up buying the Oben CT3481 carbon fiber tripod with ballhead after going on a photo workshop at Yosemite National Park last month and seeing what the big boys and girls are using and picking their brains as to why they chose the equipment they use. The overwhelming choice for ballheads is the Swiss style quick release, for good reason after seeing the difference between the locking mechanisms. If you are serious about photography, bite the bullet and buy a good tripod and ballhead and forget the pistol grip lower priced lightweight products that ultimately you will be sorry you wasted your money on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't fit as tight. This piece is the same as the original, which I lost, , but unfortunately it rocks back and forth with the camera attached. I had to cut two small strips from a matchbook cover to act as shims on either side to stabilize it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great My daughter borrowed my tripod for a school art project and when she returned it the plate was gone. I ordered this to replace it and it fits great. All is well.
