    Canon 2846A001 reviews

Dioptric Adjustment Lens E (-3) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from See everything clearly I am nearsighted and purchased the Canon -3 Diopter E and the required EF Rubber frame (for use on Rebel SLR viewfinders). Now I can easily view the frame with my glasses on and then to 'get closer' I can lift the glasses onto my forehead and turn the small focusing wheel next to the viewfinder and again clearly see both the AF points and the framed shot. Makes things much more convenient for critical framing, and the soft eyepiece frame (similar but NOT same as standard one) prevents scratching of my eyeglass lens. Definitely worth the small expense. ... Remember that the viewfinder has its own default -1 diopter and the small adjusting/ focusing wheel next to the viewfinder allows +/- 2 diopter adjustment, so this -3 gave me a range from -1 (standard/ stock) normal view to -5 (for my sight requirement with out glasses). If you wear glasses more than -3 (nearsighted) or + 1 (farsighted) that the viewfinder AF focus adjustment will accommodate, I would recommend looking into the diopter lenses available. Does not protrude any further than standard eyepiece frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs Ef Rubber Frame with T3i I ordered this Canon Dioptric Adjustment Lens E(-3) for my Rebel T3i and it would not have fit the standard rubber adapter that came with the camera. The Canon Ef rubber frame (ordered separately) fits this dioptric adjustment lens perfectly. I can use manual focus now without my glasses. I kept the old rubber frame in case someone with contacts or good vision needs to borrow my camera. I have a -3.50 vision correction on my eyeglasses and this works well for me; everything is sharp. The diopter fits on with a click on both sides, so it is difficult to get off but easy to put on by pressing down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Can See Better Fits the Canon 70D. If you're near-sighted and you don't like wearing your glasses while shooting photos and your camera's diopter adjustment isn't sufficient, then this dioptric will help you see the viewfinder info. It snaps onto the viewfinder mount easily and snuggly. A rubber frame (Canon Eb) isn't included with the dioptric, but it can be used without one. The dioptric is made of average material. But I think it's worth the cost. I find it to be very helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can focus again!! On a DSLR with a auto focus lense this little gem might not be needed. Recently I've been buying old M42 mount lenses which can only be used as manual focus lenses. I had a hard time with the focus and would bracket. This lens allowed me to adjust the camera's diopter enough for me to focus just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what the doctor ordered As soon as I put this on my t4i my ability to focus on fine details improved 100%. If you wear glasses and experience trouble making sure your focus is correct, I highly recommend this inexpensive fix.
