This Lens Adapter V2 from Fotodiox enables the use of your M42 lenses on Nikon F-mount DSLR cameras. This adapter's design features an enlarged lip, or flange, that presses against the aperture pin of M42 lenses in order to facilitate manual adjustment of the aperture ring during use. As a fully manual adapter, stop-down metering is required, and infinity focus is limited based on the specific lens in use. Additionally, this adapter is constructed from lightweight, durable anodized aluminum.

FotodioX M42-NIKF-PRO-V2 Reviews
Fits like a glove
Just what I needed.
Sturdy tool
It’s a great sturdy tool to continue using your glass across your collection of rigs. However, be mindful that it adds distance between sensor/film which means the focus will be off a bit.
Bad design!
Following up to my previous review the adapter got indeed stuck in the body of my D700 and both myself and the tech at the repair service were unable to remove it.... The bayonet mount had to be replaced and I had to pay $100. This thing is a cheap piece of plastic, badly engineered and manufactured. Be aware!
Stuck in camera body
This is cheap stuff that will eventually ruin your day and camera requiring further tech service. I will never buy anything from FotodioX again and will just stick with Nikon lenses from now on. Lesson learned.
Fits
Fits snugly as a regular lens does. I was afraid it would be lose or have some play. Perfect fit.
Fotodiox M42 Lens to Nikon F
Quality part. Works great on my D600. My radioactive 50mm f/1.4 Yashica lens is just dreamy.
It works, however you have to be careful with it
This adapter works like it's supposed to, however the adapter twists one way, and the lens twists the other. It is tricky to get the lens to fit snugly. I had the most success putting the adapter first on the lens, and then attaching to the camera. While reading about this adapter before purchasing I read a review that one person experienced the adapter getting permanently stuck on their camera body - so I only have used this on my Nikon 750 and have no plans to use on my 850 - just in case. The adapter stuck once, but I use the adapter with care, and was able to remove by being careful and using my brain so nothing broke. When I purchased I went in with the understanding that it might not work - however, I'm pleased with the ability to use an old lens. Under the right conditions this adapter is good enough. For the price I can't complain.
Just what I needed
Works great with my 50 year old Pentax lenses
