Extend the reach of your existing Canon EF and EF-S mount lenses with this Autofocus 2x Teleconverter from Fotodiox. This converter doubles the effective focal length of your lens, turning a 50mm lens into a 100mm optic for example. It also maintains communication between the lens and camera and uses multi-coated optics to limit ghosting and flares. Additionally, the four element design ensures sharp imagery. This converter is compatible with most EF and EF-S lenses and cameras, though there is a light loss of about 2 stops during use.

Autofocus 2x Teleconverter for Canon EF/EF-S is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good buy This buy, an alternative to a long lens, works better than I expected. It requires manual focusing, which in the field is sometimes a hindrance, but the results are very crisp images.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It works but.... It works but, not that well. While I do get 2x the magnification, there are a few problems. The auto focus does not work when it is attached. The exposure is unreliable but also a lot less light gets in so you need bright light and to shoot at higher isos.. Also, it may be my imagination but it seems like all the glass starts to make the images a little hazy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Buy Bought this mainly to use with my 70-200mm, and it is great. The quality of images does not suffer, and I can now get shots at 140-400mm without having to pay up for a new expensive lens. I would definitely recommend this for others.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok I am disappointed that it prevents my 150 to 400 zoom from auto focusing. It works good when not zooming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am glad I bought this. I bought this teleconverter to use with a Canon T1i during the upcoming eclipse. I have used it with a 55x250mm lens and it works well. I do have to manually focus, however that is not a problem for me. Using this combination along with a solar filter has produced great results of the sun with sunspots clearly visible as I practice for the upcoming eclipse.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from destroyed attached lens's autofocus! I used this with the Canon 55-250 kit lens, and the autofocus on the lens no longer works. From reviews, I understood that autofocus would not work with this in place, but after removing it, the Canon lens won't autofocus. There isn't even the sound of the motor trying. Worst of all B&H won't do anything to help! Very disappointed by product and B&H.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase for my camera. I purchased this teleconverter for my canon to use with my 300mm lens for taking pictures of the total solar eclipse. It worked great, even the auto focus worked great. So glad I bought this. Nice clear pictures, easy to connect to the camera and good price with fast shipping.
