CineMilled CM-060 Overview

The CineMilled PRO Dovetail for DJI Ronin-M and MX is designed to replace the dovetail plate that comes with the gimbal to allow you to counterbalance front-heavy loads. It's slightly longer and offers a series of 3/8"-16 threaded holes across the back that support optional CineMilled counterweights (CM-070 and CM-080), which are available in 1" and 2" sizes and are stackable. It's also T-shaped so you can mount the weights offset in cases where that would better balance the camera.

This plate enables you to mount larger cameras and longer lenses on the gimbal without adding any tilt extensions. Alternatively, it also lets you attach and balance very lightweight cameras—as light as a GoPro—by adding the optional weights on top of the plate, and features threaded holes for this not only across the back but all around. Just like the original plate, the PRO Dovetail also provides the threaded mounting points on the front for attaching the rod support bracket that comes with the gimbal.

  • Offers threaded holes for optional CineMilled counterweights for counterbalancing front-heavy loads, allowing you to attach larger cameras and longer lenses

question

It will work with the canon c100 mkii ??
Asked by: Flash A.
This plate should work just fine with the C100 Mark II. We just started to list this product for pre-sale and have limited information on it at this time. However CineMilled has made a very nice video going over how to use this product. You can check out the video at the link below.http://bit.ly/1MTI4gQ

question

I have a Sony PXW-70 and want to know if this dove tail will work?
Asked by: Anonymous
If you are looking to balance a Sony PXW-X70 on a Ronin-M this Pro Dovetail plate will be a great help. It allows you to balance a longer camera that otherwise would not balance on the gimbal. You will also need the Counterweights for proper balance.

question

I want to fly my fs700 with my rokinon ds cine glass set 24,35,50,85 on my ronin m and I'm fairly certain that this dove tail with the addition of weights will allow that to happen with no balancing issues. The real question is.. Will there be enough clearance so I can plug a right angle BNC cable in to the back of the fs700?
Asked by: Joseph
It is tough to give definitive answers with solutions like this. The Cinemilled products allow you to customize the Ronin-M beyond its normal capabilities which means that there will be variable in any setup you create. That being said, it is our belief that you will be able to configure the FS700 to allow for room to connect a Right Angle BNC Cable. Especially with Rokinon DS Cine Lenses which are not that large in size.

Looking to fly a stripped down URSA Mini 4.6k on ...

Looking to fly a stripped down URSA Mini 4.6k on my Ronin M. Running a belt pack battery, so that'll save some weight on the camera. Looking to use a 1.5lb 12mm lens with the URSA. Will this along with the counter weights and tilt extension arms allow for this? It's still a bit under the weight limit of the Ronin M, I'm more worried about having enough room to balance since it's a larger camera body.
Asked by: Cameron
This plate is designed to allow you to use longer camera set-ups on the Ronin-M or Ronin-MX than would normally be possible. You may be able to get the Ursa Mini 4.6K to balance, but it could get very tricky depending on the lens used and there is really no guidelines regarding how many counter balance weights you may need. This would be something you would have to test out to see if you could get to work.

Does this plate allow for the DJI rod mount to be attached to the plate?

This Dovetail Plate is designed for a different function. It allows longer combinations of select cameras and lenses to be put on the Ronin-M, combinations that normally would not be possible.
