Fotodiox is making the super compact mirrorless camera more ergonomic and comfortable for larger hands with the Pro Metal Hand Grip for the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II. Mounting via a recessed thumb screw mount on the base, it extends the camera's vertical height and adds a front hand grip for a secure hold. The grip also boasts a durable anodized aluminum construction and has a cutout on the base that allows users to access the battery and memory card slot without removing the grip. Additionally, it has an offset 1/4"-20 tripod socket in order to enable full functionality while the grip is in use.

Pro Metal Hand Grip for Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very helpful. Not perfect. This grip greatly improves the overall handling of my M-5 II with the somewhat heavy Olympus 12-40 2.8 lens attached. However, it doesn't solve the comfort problem of the M-5 II's rather angular edges and corners, since the grip's corners are just as hard. In fact, the grip's rear right corner is even a little less comfortable than the camera's own corner. It's not quite UN-comfortable but it does leave an impression at the base of my thumb after I've held the camera for a while. This well made and very modestly priced grip is definitely worth a try, though it doesn't address all of the M-5 II's hand-feel issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Met my expectations Nicely made, matches camera finish and is quite solid. You can remove the battery with it attached. Brings the E-M5 II almost to the same comfort level as using an E-M1. The only thing I don't like is that it moves the tripod mounting screw even further back - I would not recommend using it with larger lenses on a tripod.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Grip is OK, but I actually prefer plastic. I bought this, as I didn't want the Olympus grip, but I do like an accessory grip on these cameras. I had a similar plastic grip on my E-M5 (i), and liked it mostly because I was able to reshape it a bit to make it more comfortable, which worked out great. This grip, the only after market grip that I know of for the Mark ii, is made of aluminum. Cold on the hand, and harder to modify. I'll probably try to modify it a little, but then I'll need to paint it, etc. I would have liked it better if it was plastic. But that's just me. Otherwise it's fine...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My hand fits the camera now...great buy! This makes handling my Olympus OM_D_D_M5 Mark II so easy. My hand is quite large and I was used to a large battery grip on my full size DSLR. This grip allows me to use nearly my whole hand to hold onto the camera. Excellent craftsmanship too as it fits the bottom of the camera perfectly, and it matches the finish of the camera also. Good job!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality for the money Good quality material, sturdy and reliable. Only (not so big) problem is fitting, I feel a little bit more attention could have been paid in order the grip stick to the camera and cover spaces better. I owned the Photodiox grip for the EM-5 Mk I and it was better in this respect. Anyway, not a deal breaker, it's easy to recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would definitely recommend. This grip is ideal for larger lenses like the 12-40. Well made metal finish. Loving over my previous fat one. More suitable then the one with a round fat hand. (The old round fat handle one i had previously turns the 12-40 into a knuckle meat grinder)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fotodiox Grip works as designed The grip fits fine, but has a sharp corner that digs into the hand and is a bit uncomfortable at times. The grip size improves the feel so one-handed shooting is much more possible. I'd recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It improves the grip on the Olympus E-M5 ii. It gives indeed a better grip and (because the e-M5 ii is too small) that is the reason for buying it. I have just tried and it seems well adapted for it. For the price, I recommend it.
