It can be used for smartphones, computers, tablets, iPods, and MP3 players to increase volume and deliver a more satisfying experience when listening to audio.

Featuring a sandblasted aluminum-alloy chassis, the portable amp uses a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery for power and weighs only 0.7 ounces. The four different EQ modes are switchable by briefly pressing the power button. A blue LED flashes to indicate each mode as it is selected.

Furthermore, there is a 3-color status LED to help you monitor the power condition of the unit, which flash differently for power on, charging, low battery, and full battery status. Finally, the tiny size of the A1 portable headphone amplifier makes this a great choice for adding that extra punch to your audio listening experience.

question

What type of cable do I need to connect the L/R RCA audio outputs of my TV into the FIIO?
Asked by: Anne
You'll need a digital to analog converter attached to the tv (for example, FiiO Taishan). Attach the D/A converter to the FiiO A1 with a stereo mini to dual RCA Y-cable (available at B&H) - male to male.

question

Where do I connect my phone? Is it a mini usb charger?
Asked by: Ayam
There's a 3.5mm TRS (stereo) jack on the bottom for audio input from your phone or other device. The A1 comes with a 4-inch 3.5mm TRS male-male jumper. Yes, the mini USB is for charging.

question

How this work with phone
Asked by: Anonymous
This is simply an amplifier with a phone plug input and output. A phone plug is that type of connection used on ear phones and other similar low level audio devices. Use of the A1 with a phone (meaning a cell phone) would be boosting the signal level of your cell phone output via your phone plug connection (when listening thru your earphones - which says there really isn't a great use here because most phones have plenty of volume. My first FIfo was great giving my earphones just the right amount of volume boost, and that A1 lasted 7 wonderful years. The one I bought last summer stopped working 7 days after it arrived

question

Would these sufficiently drive a 150 Ohm pair of headphones such as the AKG K612?In other words, When the specs say Impedance 16 to 100 Ohms does it mean this is the output impedance or the target impedance of the headphones?
Asked by: Ryan J.
All I know is they are sufficient enough that you really can't use just any kind of headphones because the speakers will get blown at high volumes. Honestly I use this little 27 dollar Filo in my car as a car amp by inserting the aux plug instead of headphones and then connect it to car radio and it cranks it up. And I can tell that I shouldn't turn the volume all the way up because I can tell that even my car speakers will get damaged at high volumes.
