    Brother HL-3180CDW reviews

HL-3180CDW All-in-One Color Laser Printer is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 96.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it I had reached my limit with inkjet. I was tired of paying a fortune for ink only to have it not work when I needed it. I just wanted something that WORKED. I spent a day or two fairly obsessed, reading a number of reviews about laser printers. I learned enough that when I saw the features of this machine, the price, the price of ink ongoing I snatched it up. I make the right choice. It installed quickly. I just had to follow instructions that were easily understood and voila, I now have a printer that just WORKS. When I need something printed I just make a few clicks and there it is, no matter what device I'm using. Very happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wireless Install - Skip The Cable Option Wireless install went easily (it helps greatly if your router has the one-button connect feature) until I got to the Install Disk. Manual suggests a computer-to-printer cable temporarily. That didn't work so uninstalled everything. Started again, then stuck to the wireless only option to install Disk software to the computer. Went smoothly although you must wait VERY patiently even though it appears nothing is happening because Install feed back is lacking. But, the prints we're getting are very good and the higher resolution print setting should be even better. The wireless install not withstanding, we like Brother (and B&H)!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent machine This machine is an excellent choice for a small office. It performs as advertised. Color is excellent, although I have not tried printing any photographs - just colors on reports. The only thing I don't care for is that the paper curls, sometimes substantially, after printing. I have only used multi-purpose copy and multi-purpose digital papers. I have not tried laser only paper. It may do better than the multi-purpose paper. The printer options do have an option to reduce curl, which I have been using. Not sure how this option works, but I did not see any difference with it on or off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to Use and Feature-Rich This is a very nice laser printer with an extensive feature set and a clean, compact physical profile. Overall build quality is excellent. Setup was very easy and performance is quite good. The character print is clear and crisp, but I would prefer that the black print was a bit darker, though I have not yet tinkered with settings. Graphics quality is wthin expected range for a laser printer. This model does not seem to get much publicity from retailers, but I believe it is a great value for the money. Time will tell, if it holds up well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. I upgraded from a Brother B&W laser and this model operates very much the same except in color. The prints have been amazing. I printed some color business cards and they look professional. I found it easy to install and operate. The box is bulky since the printer is very well packed but it was relatively easy to unpack and set-up. Now I no longer have to buy frequent ink refills. I am very happy. Photo print quality is not as good as a high-end inkjet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome This is my first laser printer. Why I never bought one sooner I will never know. I researched printers for about two weeks before I bought the Brother. It was easy to set up and I like the clean look of the printer. I wanted a color printer that didn't have a fax feature, as I don't fax documents. Sounds like a simple request, but try to find one. Brother to the rescue! Great value for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really like this printer but...... I have been using inkjet printers for years because of the price difference with lasers. I bought this one because of prior reviews and the great price and delivery at B&H. Very easy to hook up and works well wirelessly. My only concern is the ink depth is weak. Maybe it's the paper but all the reviews gave it high marks especially with photos. Anyway I am very happy with it so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laser Printer is awesome!! I love it. It set up easily to my new computer. I love that I didn't have to do any setup to send docs or photos from my IPhone 7 to it. It just shows up on my choice of printers. Ink/toner cartridges are pricey if purchased locally but have found a provider on Amazon prime. Only drawback is the tray area where the final copy comes out. It doesn't allow for the copy to clear the chute well when printing a lot of copies like a newsletter and can cause jamming. may need to think of an extender tray for that.
