I got this lightning to USB 3 cable so I could watch pr0n on my iPad and also do other things. So far, no other things have needed to be done. It works, let's me watch video with another lightning cable for power at the USB 3 speeds.

Exactly what I needed

I was looking for a way to connect my Zoom H6 recorder to my iPhone for live-streaming on Instagram, and this adapter did the trick. It worked with no problems, and I was able to connect three mics to the iPhone via the H6 for a successful livestream. It's also great that I could keep the phone charged at the same time via the Lightning port.

Works perfectly

Super fast and reliable transfer to my iPhone photo app using Fujifilm X-T1 camera. Much better than using wifi to transfer. Seamless and effective.

Works as intended.

question

Would this work to stream video from an external camera to an iPad? For example, if one used a device like this Marshall: <a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1232380-REG/marshall_electronics_vac_11hu3_2_hdmi_to_usb_3_0.html target= _blank >http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1232380-REG/marshall_electronics_vac_11hu3_2_hdmi_to_usb_3_0.html</a>
Asked by: Anonymous
That might work. If you have HDMI output from the camera, this would be simpler: <a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1139478-REG/apple_md826am_a_lightning_digital_av_adapter.html target= _blank >http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1139478-REG/apple_md826am_a_lightning_digital_av_adapter.html</a>

It’ll work with the new iPads running iOS 13. You’ll probably need to plug in a power adapter with a lightening cable to supply power to the drive.

I'm not sure. I bought them for a USB keyboard device in a Manufacturing plant. I'd google it, and see what turns up. I have a feeling iOS doesn't support it right now, but I'd love to be wrong.

In theory, yes. I'd recommend a powered hub. We use this for a HiD card scanner keyboard wedge for scanning employees badges into our systems.
