The 3-Light Softbox Interview Kit was put together by B&H to provide a fast and easy, mobile versatile setup for interviews or ENG. The kit contains a Monobright Bi-Color LED 750 Light, 2 SpectroLED Essential 240 Bi-Color LED panels, 2 air-cushioned light stands, a 10' air-cushioned stand, an Octa softbox with speedring, a stand case, and a kit case.
Monobright 750 Bi-Color LED Light
With its monolight form factor, S-Type front accessory mount, variable color temperature, and AC or 12 VDC battery power options, the MonoBright LED Bi-Color 750 fixture from Genaray can be easily integrated into a wide range of projects. The MonoBright employs a HiBrite microLED PCB to output the equivalent power of a 750W tungsten fixture while consuming only 100W of current.
The MonoBright's high CRI rating of >90 means that the light packs precision with power for faithful rendition of colors down to the subtlest tones. And since the color is variable from 3200 to 5600K you won't have to worry about fumbling with filters whether you're shooting in daylight or tungsten color temperature environments. Another handy feature is the dimming range of 10-100% so you won't have to move the light once you have it perfectly positioned. And if you've mounted the MonoBright in a hard to reach place you'll appreciate the option of a 2.4 GHz wireless remote control that can dim the light at distances up to 98' as well as turn it on or off. The remote has 99 channels, so you can control at least that many lights in unison or individually. The remote can also control the color temperature from 3200 to 5600K or anywhere in between. The MonoBright is rated for use with 100-240 VAC for worldwide use but the light will also work with 12 VDC batteries via its 4-pin XLR input. Also included are a 7", 60° umbrella/grid reflector, and shower-cap-style diffuser.
SpectroLED Essential 240 Bi-Color LED Panel
The SpectroLED Essential 240 LED Panel is a compact light source with local dimming from 0-100%, a 60 degree flood beam angle and variable color balance from 3,200K tungsten to 5,600K daylight. Variable color means that instead of taping on filters dial your desired color temperature from a cool blue daylight rendering to a warmer amber color similar to indoor fixtures or late afternoon light. And the color adjustments are continuous, meaning that you can dial in any light balance between.Made of a high-impact polymer, the light weighs just 2.5 lb including its yoke with 5/8" receiver. The yoke has a handy feature that allows you to tilt it forward so that the panel can be tilted at extreme angle out of the way of the stand. The yoke is removable and you can use the provided clips to stack another panel without the yoke on top of a yoke-supported unit. Up to 3 panels can be stacked. Other mounting options include two 1/4"-20 taps on the 5.8 x 11.75 x 2.1" panel frame for customized support options with grip gear. An offset diffuser is provided to soften the light's output.
The SpectroLED Essential 240 Bi-Color is powered by the included 100-240 VAC adapter but it also has a built-in battery plate for optional Sony NP-F batteries for use when mains power is unavailable. Several lights can be daisy-chained using an optional SP-E-MLC Multi Link Cable that allows the first light in the chain to act as a Master unit that is mimicked by the connected slaves.
32" Octa Softbox
The Raya 32" Octa Softbox is an 8-sided light modifier supported by aluminum flexrods with a highly reflective pebbled interior and a removable front face that attaches with simple touch-fasteners. It also has a detachable interior clip-on diffuser for additional soft light if desired. In use, it renders the signature wrap-around look that the modifier's shape is well known for, as well as natural circular catch-lights in your subject's eyes.
The Ruggard Stand Bag is lightweight and functional way to store or carry your tripod, light stands, and umbrellas. The durable 400D Cordura exterior is complemented by a smooth 150D nylon lining. Dual top zippers provide full-length rapid access to the interior. The bag is transported by its two top carry handles or its fixed length shoulder sling strap. For added storage, there is an exterior 11.5" zippered pocket.
The 15 x 20 x 12" LKB-4B Light Kit Bag from Impact is a light but durable case that is designed to safely transport and protect lighting equipment. Ideally sized for LED panels, it is also suitable for studio strobe systems, continuous light systems, and a variety of equipment needed in the studio or on location.
The outer shell and interior walls are all reinforced with heavy-duty plastic panels to ensure the structural integrity of the bag. Adjustable dividers can be configured to your needs within the 18.5 x 14.5 x 10.5" interior to keep your lights and gear organized and secure. A generous zippered mesh storage compartment provides plenty of room for cables and other small accessories.
The LKB-4B has a weather resistant, heavy-duty 600 denier ballistic nylon shell fitted with anti-slip rubber feet. Carrying options include a detachable adjustable shoulder strap, overlapping top handles, and rubber grip side handles. For added security, the heavy-gauge dual zippers accept an optional lock.
