Denon AVR-X3300W overview

  • 1Description

Enjoy immersive multi-channel sound with the Denon AVR-X3300W 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver. It delivers up to 105W of power at 8 Ohms and features Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatibility (via future firmware update) for object-based audio support. Built-in Bluetooth and AirPlay support allow the receiver to wirelessly stream music from compatible sources, such as smartphones and tablets.

Onboard Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity allows the AVR-X3300W to access a variety of Internet-based music sources like Pandora, SiriusXM, Internet Radio, and more. It also supports DLNA content sharing when paired with your similarly equipped network-connected devices such as your computer. As an added convenience, you can download the free Denon 2016 AVR Remote App to control the receiver from your Android or iOS devices.

With eight HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, this receiver can act as a video switcher for your HD source components. It will pass through 3D and 4K signals and upscale non-UHD signals to near-4K quality for enhanced viewing of lower-resolution sources when paired with a 4K display. The receiver also has a USB port for accessing media stored on USB flash drives. Audyssey multipoint sound optimization will calibrate the receiver to your speakers and room setup for a tailored listening experience.

Note: Access to certain Internet-based content may require a subscription to a service.

    Denon AVR-X3300W reviews

    AVR-X3300W 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to set-up, excellent sound and video performance Several years ago, I tried the SW900 model and had to return it due to problems with the video switching and HDMI 2.2. The previous unit had a very easy configuration and excellent sound processing. Where it fell flat was on the HDMI 2.2 implementation. I was eager, though not too eager to get a newer model after a few years of HDMI 2.2 implementation improvements. Out of the box, the ease of set-up was every bit as simple as the 2-year older model. For this particular installation, the config was 4 full-range in-ceiling speakers. No subwoofer, no Dolby Atmos Speakers, and no center channel speakers. Despite the challenge presented to the Denon for managing the poor acoustics in the room and the lack of a sub, center, and advanced Dolby Atmos speakers, the configuration was not confusing and worked well by stepping thru the graphical UI. After about a 15-30 minute calibration session with the included microphone, the system was calibrated. I had 4 sources to dial in to the system. While the menus were providing some direction, it was not as intuitive to setup the sources, but not too difficult either. The Denon is replacing a high-end Meridian Audio 561 Digial Audio Processor feeding coaxial Revel In-ceiling speakers. The Meridian while being a near 20-year old processor still outperforms many new products on the market with its stunningly clear and unaltered digital auto handling. The Denon does an excellent job of not coloring the audio and creates a very natural rich sound field. Where the Denon beats the Meridian is the room correction software. The room correction and audio calibration software does an amazing job in bringing the sound to the listener's ears, but never sounds forced or directed. The only reason for the 4-stars is that when turning off the unit via an IR repeater, the unit frequently turns on again. Since the receiver is in a cabinet, it's not obvious that it is still on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for features Bought it for its Control4 home automation compatibility and was pleasantly surprised by all the extra features. All Zone Stereo is incredible. Really fills up the house. Spotify Connect is so much more stable and reliable than Apple Airplay -- and you don't have to stay connected for it to continue. Very happy with this receiver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds great and so easy to set up This was so easy to set up. After setting up the speakers, the unit sent a test signal to each one. Turns out I did wire one properly, which was great to know before I put the unit in the cabinet. The optimization setup was also fantastic. Great knowing my speakers are optimized. I love this unit.
