A complete mirrorless outfit, Thom Hogan's Sony a6300 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 10-18mm, 16-70mm, and 35mm Lenses Bundle from B&H includes the versatile camera body and a trio of lenses along with two spare lithium-ion batteries, an external dual battery charger, a wired remote control, a battery holder pouch, and a shoulder bag to protect and carry all of your gear.
The a6300 features a 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor to enable fast, high-resolution stills shooting at up to 11 fps, UHD 4K30 and Full HD 1080p120 video recording, and an expandable sensitivity range up to ISO 51200. Benefitting both stills and video recording modes, the sensor and processor combination also avails 4D FOCUS, which melds a wide-coverage 425-point phase-detection system with 169 contrast-detection areas for quick and precise focusing performance. Complementing the imaging assets, the a6300 is also characterized by a durable magnesium alloy body that houses both a 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3.0" 921.6k-dot tilting LCD monitor. Additionally, built-in Wi-Fi with NFC permits linking with a mobile device for wireless image sharing and remote camera control.
Included with the camera is a trio of lenses ranging from wide-angle to telephoto in reach. The widest is the 10-18mm f/4 OSS, which provides a 15-27mm equivalent focal length range and features a constant f/4 maximum aperture for consistent performance throughout the zoom range. Three aspherical elements and Super ED glass help to minimize spherical and chromatic aberrations in order to deliver a high degree of sharpness and clarity. Longer in reach, the Vario-Tessar T* 16-70mm f/4 ZA OSS lens is also included, which provides a 24-105mm equivalent focal length range and also features a constant f/4 maximum aperture. This lens uses four aspherical elements to control various spherical aberrations and a Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating has been applied to reduce flare and ghosting. Last is the sole prime, the 35mm f/1.8 OSS lens, which offers a 52.5mm equivalent focal length and features a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture. All three of the lenses also feature Optical SteadyShot image stabilization to minimize the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting.
