The Extendá will create an ad-hoc Wi-Fi network with a range of 164', allowing users to connect wirelessly with a mobile device or desktop computer and then make adjustments to a Canon, Nikon, or Sony camera's settings and functions via an app. This includes making changes to ISO, shutter, speed, aperture, exposure compensation, and more. A Live View mode is also available which provides a feed of your camera's view on your device, enabling Touch Focus and many other functions.

If I wanted to set this up with a compatible Sony ...
If I wanted to set this up with a compatible Sony mirrorless camera in a box to do long term time lapse shots (weeks or months in durations), would this device allow photos to be automatically downloaded into a mobile device with cellular service in the same box and also automatically upload those photos to a file sharing service such as Dropbox without having to be interacted with (without having to open or otherwise disturb the box?
Setting up your device using the LW-100 Extendá to download and automatically upload your photos to a file sharing service can be done.
However, the LW-100 Extendá is not designed for continuous use and may not operate perform well under these conditions.

I just tried to connect the extenda to the ios ...
I just tried to connect the extenda to the ios app. I successfully connected my device to the Extenda Wi-Fi, but then the app on my device asking me for an "access password". this is not mentioned in the manual or anywhere online. What's going on? please help!
You can reset your device by pressing the reset button down for 3 seconds (button #3 See page 3 in the user’s manual). This action will enable you to create a new password under the settings menu and grant you access to the App.

After going back and forth with Vello for two ...
After going back and forth with Vello for two days I'm still not able to connect the extenda to my laptop. It connects to the Extenda Wifi connection then after that it tell me it cant find the network. I have tried it on two computers. I was told new software was added today, I erased the old one off and installed the new one. I still have the same problem. Has anyone gotten there's to work?
When using the Vello LW-100 Extendá Wi-Fi Camera Remote Control for Select Canon, Nikon & Sony, it will be helpful to update the Firmware one more time, to get it to work properly with your computer.
