I love this tripod! I wish it folded up a little smaller, but the weight is incredible! It's just tough to travel with with my current backpack. But I would recommend!

I totally recommend this tripod, it's very light for it's reasonable size. Perfect to travel and robust.

LIGHTWEIGHT, GREAT FOR TRAVEL BUT YET HANDLES THE WEIGHT OF MY 70 - 200 LENS BALLHEAD SWIVELS EASILY

An Intervalometer for Most Needs

I needed an intervalometer to take long exposures and this definitely does the trick. It's easy to use, lightweight, and compact enough to fit anywhere. I used it in the Antelope Caves and it performed great. My only problem with it is because it is wired the constant shifting from portrait to landscape gets the wire tangled around the tripod and can possible fall out of the camera. There is a wireless option but double the price. I doubt I'll ever see situations where I'll be away from my camera to trigger the exposure so I decided on this version. Also a minor detail is that it uses normal batteries rather than a rechargeable lithium. Otherwise I'm quite happy with my purchase.

question

Can you remove the ball head to reduce the folded length? If yes, please advice folded length without ball head.
Asked by: Anonymous
Not really. The tripod head is tucked between the feet when folded up, so removing the head won't make the tripod much smaller.

question

Does the folded length of 18.3 include the head, or just the legs?
Asked by: Michael L.
Include the head and legs. You need to reverse the legs to fold, and the head will be surrounded by the legs. Anyway, the minimum folded length will be 18.3 .

question

Do these tripod legs really only weigh 1.5 pounds?
Asked by: Lance D.
Thank you! I had a hunch this was the case. Nonetheless a kilo isn't bad at all. I am 6'1 as well, do your answer is particularly helpful.
